Sounds fun...date on calendar marked!

I haven't gone to Griffith Park since I was a kid so I'll definitely need a detail map & directions.

I can bring some beer. But do they allow alcohol at the park?

sounds good! could be a problem for the bbq part, dont think they let you grill at griffith park right now, pass by it everyday and they have a sign that says no bbq! might want to check on that!!

I just called the Ranger's Station, Mr. Foxx is correct.. There's to be NO BBQ'ing at Griffith Park. Reasons: The fire from a few weeks ago, extremely dry brush due to the lack of rain.. guess they don't want a fire breaking out again...

SOL for BBQ's I guess.

Choices:
1. Move it to Bolsa Chica like last year. (Parking is $10 though, remember that!)
2. Make it a Pot Luck only at Griffith Park, bring stuff that's cooked.

or another location..

feel free to discuss.

Okay.. talked it over with Mr. J-Ro, and we're headed to the BEACH!!! Bolsa Chica State Beach, just south of Warner/ PCH, where the Jack in the Box is.

We need someone close by to stake a claim to one of the FIRE PITS on the beach! Show up early enough to claim it! We never get one, so this year we're do marshmallows @ nightfall!! lol

SAME DAY, earlier arrival is suggested, it's August, who doesn't want to be at the beach??

Carry on with the sign-up sheet folks!!

If you have any questions or suggestions, let me know!

-Andy

Then lets do it at that large park near Fig and 134. Lots of parking and large field for baseball/football.

Just have it @ Griffith Park with the BBQ good to go. I think this is a better solution to their no BBQ policy they got going on.

I could probably make it out there. If ya'll wouldn't mind an AZ person joining in? I have to have surgery on my ankle so I am in So. Cal as much as possible surfing on my free weekends, while I still can. I have a friend who lives on Warner down in Huntington Beach so I think that is RIGHT where I usually am.
