Just thought that I should introduce myself since I live in crestline and menifee and will be joining you on the next run. I went on the memorial drive but didn't really talk to anybody and kept to myself. My car is a white tII year 87 with somekind of body kit. Bought it from a japenese student in temple city and it was nicely mantained for 6400. Motor has 138000 miles and runs perfect. THe seller gave me all the receipts for work that was done to it and everything major such as clutch is already replaced. Here is a picture of my car that was taken from the last drive. https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...hmentid=221871
it is the one right behind the yellow 8.
My other hobby is rc nitro helicopters. also I just recently finished restoring a ****** cj2a wwII jeap and I am somewhat of a machinist. I am pretty confident that I can handle anything the seven has to throw at me and just really enjoy working on this car.
JUst one thing I am not to sure about. When I drive in the mountains it seems like my car is really lacking in power and is barely able to make any boost. It seems that the closer I get to sea level the quiker and more power my car gets. Is this normal for turboed cars or is there some kind of sensor that is bad.
Thanks for reading and hope to see you in a couple of weeks.

Menifee, huh? You are a little north of me.
And thinner air will make you lose power.
Edit -
I just looked at the picture, your car is 2 ahead of mine.
Mine is the white one poking out a little. I knew speedeamon would have to take a picture of the line up once we stopped, so I parked away from the curb so I would be able to see myself in the picture later. ( and my girl says I do not look towards the future )

oh man... what a car! the power is unbelievable for a factory car..and ive only 3/4 throttled it..and shifted @ 5500 rpm.... (only 50 miles on it now, so im breaking it in as well as i can)... but it handles like a dream..... its got yokohama advan tires on it..so that helps...
the only problem i have w/ it....NO WING! its not a big deal, because i do actually like the look of it wingless.. but ill end up buying a factory wing and putting it on there

Congrats again Jesse. We all know the Evo is a spectacular ride and I feel it will be awesome for you to finally have reliable power and four doors to fit your whole family. I'm a little sad though and still somewhat in shock. Speaking of shock, here's some shock and awe. I just bought a T04E to match up with my RE motor and LT10 3bar. I'll post pics soon. I should be throwing down well over 400hp to the rear wheels when it's done. The silver T2 that could should be done in a couple more months. I can't wait to join you guys again.
Hey Jesse, Can I do a ride along next meet? You aren't going to go and start neglecting us and spend all your time on the Evo forums now are you?
