Thumbs up SoCal RX Club and Dromo1 Teaming Up

SoCal,
we've up the ante for this weekends event but you must be there to cash in. Here's the run down..

1) The first 10 people that sign up for our race group (s) will receive a free Dromo1 T-Shirt. Sizes may vary.
2) The following 10 will receive a free JGTC T-Shirt. White and extra large only.
3) Top time of the day will receive a free Limited Edition SoCal RX Club Polo.
4) The top 10 times/drivers will receive a free race. Courtesy of Dromo1.
5) Who knows what lurks behind door no. 5. You'll just have to be there

Please note: You must sign in with me, LC. See me at the entrance to Dromo1.

Where: Dromo1
1431 North Main Street, Orange, CA 92867
When: February 18, 11am to 2pm

All members from the Ventura Co., S.F. Valley, Antelope Valley, N. Los Angeles, etc... Please meet at our normal meeting point at Griffith Park, L.A. Zoo Parking Lot "C" @ 9:30AM, for the drive down to Dromo-1 Karting.

For all those out of this area, please meet at the Dromo-1 Karting in Orange, or please form your own local caravans.

Arrive & Drive Costs - (18-22 laps) $25 per person

The date has been set for Saturday Feb 18. The location is Dromo-1 in Orange.

Dromo One does competitive indoor karting. Get a true wheel to wheel racing experience at Southern California's premier indoor racing facility! Each driver receives a race performance printout. Post race printouts provide drivers with a breakdown of every laptime ran, their average speeds, and comparison with fellow racers

Races are split into heats (approximately 18-22 laps), starting with qualifying, then THE RACE, with up to nine drivers racing together, so you can expect to experience the intensity of serious racing. The karts are maintained equally, allowing the driver with most ability to win. Each driver receives a printout of their racing statistics.

Whether you are friends or foes, relatives or car clubers, Dromo 1 allows you to go head to head in a fun and competitive environment. With up to nine drivers competing in each race, find out who has what it takes to finish at the front of the pack. Who can take the checkered flag? Who can set the fastest lap? There's only one way to find out. Be sure to reserve your positions on the starting grid today.

No training or previous experience is necessary. The only requirement for drivers is a minimum height of 5 ft. (60"). All racers will need to sign a liability release form; an accompanying parent or legal guardian will need to sign for those under 18 years of age.

Upon signing into a race, D1 provides a thorough briefing session, use of a racing suit, full-face helmet with head sock, neck brace and gloves. All racers are required to wear closed-toe shoes

oh yea and just wondering. will the races be with 9 people or something? because i dont think it would be such a good idea for 9 people going at the same time for a good time. maybe like a limit of 5 or 6.

I would argue the opposite but that's just me. I have the skills to navigate traffic

To answer your question.. the number of karts is dictated by Dromo1 and that's the customary 9

Well its like if you have to navigate anything but the road. Your gonna be slower than your full potential. Ive been there at least 5 times, and ive been stuck behind some slow people at times.

oh yea im posting from my phone so sorry if its weird.

JGTC shirts given to those that showed and ran the karts. Dromo1 shirts given to those that hung around just long enough. No free races given cause everyone bailed before I had them in hand. Good time regardless See you folks next time
