SoCal Retard......rant
I've been working on my car for the last week in silence. Not a sound, I don't even bang on stuff.....just a rachet and some open end wrenchs and screwdrivers.
This morning I get some injectors I've been waiting for and I carefully install them and re-install all the surrounding parts. I get out my laptop and check over the maps for the ecu and make sure everything looks good. So I finally get ready to start it after a few weeks of sleeping. It turns over for a few seconds trying to catch it's self. And then it does. So I step out and check over everything for leaks and start to set the idle along with the fuel pressure. I let it run for a few minutes and pull it out to the sunlight. For once I'm pretty happy I'm in San Diego where it's sunny and warm instead of Chicago where it's about 30 degrees. I make a few passes down the street and then return to the garage and shut it off. I recheck all my work and then wait five minutes and start it again. I make a few more passes making some adjustments on my laptopand then return the the garage once more to let it cool off and shut it down.
And this is where my rant really begins. Some ******* jerk who looks like a washed up surfer come up to m garage and just stands there. I shut it down and get out and he's looking dead at me. I say "what's up man?". He then tells me he wanted to put a face to te car. I have no problem with that. Then he proceeds to say it's the most annoying peice of **** he has ever seen. I search his face wondering why he would say something like that. It's obvious he knows exactly jack **** about any car, and yet there he stands looking at me like a ******* moron. Then he says something about wanting to see what kinda guy would drive a POS like that. I keep my cool and tell him it's what I like to do and the car has it's moments. He then goes on about how it doesn't start all the time and look like a POS. I'm still standing there thinking if he thought it was too loud why doesn't he tell me in a decent way and I'll keep it down. I look around and see a tire iron in the hatch of the 7 but I know I only have one week left. So I know there is nothing I can do to him and I just turn around and close the garage door.
If someone had the music too loud I would always ask nicely for them to turn it down even if I hate that person. I just don't get it. Maybe he wanted to fight or maybe he really was a ******* retard.....I just don't get how some people talk to others.
So now later when I am good and ready I will drive over to the local gas station and fill up my tank. I will then make sure he is home and park as close as possible and rev the motor up until I have about half a tank left. At that point I will start making passes until I am done. Call the cops if you want I don't really care I've got money *******, I'll get my car back.....then right before I ship it home I'll be sure to do the same thing before loading it onto the truck.
Oh yeah be nice to people because you never know whats gonna happen to you......had this happened to me two weeks from know when I am separated this would have been a different story.......

i always get people popping up out of no where when im working on my car in my driveway, even people driving by on teh street either slow down to check out your car , some people even stop in the middle of the street while im in the garage and pretty much shout from thier car "hey what do you have done to your car?" etc...
I got this old nieghbor who we think is going crazy, he always calls the cops saying i was on his roof *he lives accross the street too!* which I never go over there. but Ill be working on my car and cops will visit me, and sometimes the cops will tell me to pop the hood on my car at my residence!! lol.. well they jus say they wanna check it out, I cant argue with em so i show em. lol.. but still its annoying.
I posted a simular topic on my 240sx forum, and one guy had this oldschool car, i think it was a Duster, and it was parked in his driveway, some old guy walks into his backyard and into thier kitchen and asks if its for sale.. freaking crazy *** people

yea .. SD is Rich .. so they clown on FC's i live here in L.A. long beach area .. and ppl love me very much .. they smashed my window.. stole some stuff .. and they keyed my car .. soo yea thats Cali for you

That is just like me at my house! I live near San Clemente and I love it! /sarcasim. The association of my community gets so mad at me because I actually have a house that real people live in, not some picture-perfect desperate housewives mansion. I tell them to have a nice day and politely ask them not to both me ever again because I actually do work on my house/cars, not hire someone to do that for me (like them)
I have a neihbor that owns one car and they park in the garage. So their driveway is empty and when I turn around in their driveway to park in the street they file a complaint with the association, call the police (happened twice) or come yell at me and my brother for utilizing a driveway for what it is ment for.
