SoCal - I need a tow ASAP!!!! 50 miles, can ya help?

Got a vehicle up in Hesperia, CA. I need to move it to Upland, CA. It's 50 miles south west.

I'll cover gas, lunch, whatever seems fair.

I'll need the tow friday afternoon or saturday morning if possible!

Let me know!

BTW It's moving an FD, and it can't be a dolly that'll drag the exhaust and/or rear bumper. Has to be able to roll the vehicle up onto it so the wheels are off the street!

Thanks!

I recently rented a U-Haul car trailer, the one that gets all 4 wheels off the ground, for about $70. Miles are unlimited, but you also need a truck, and a truck that U-Haul is comfortable hooking the trailer up to (can't use a compact truck).

Why would anybody tow a car for you with a cocksmoker statement? Use your head and get a AAA card.

Eh, I suppose the forum is worthless for finding help in the tow department. I have a AAA membership, but until I am a member for a year... they only do 7 miles. After that.. you can upgrade and get up to 100 miles.

Not everyone on the forum is a cocksmoker, just the one with the cocksmoker statements. "I'll do it for $450" - Yeah.. gas suddenly went up to $50 a gallon, Christ. It seems anytime someone asks for a favor they get all sorts of smart *** comments. I'd bend over backwards to help someone out if they were in a jam, but apparantly people here like to leave retarted comments and laugh at their own ammusement. I apologize for my cocksmoker statement, but I am just pissed off for several other reasons aside from this whole tow situation.

I suppose gas and lunch won't get you anywhere unless you have deep pockets, maybe next time i'll offer lunch, a *******, free **** for a week, and my paycheck for a month... as a bonus for your kindness I'll throw in a free engine, and my vehicle after it gets fixed, I'll also include insurance coverage for it, and a free lesson in how to do someone a ******* favor.

Anyway, thanks for the comments on behalf of the few of you that were serious.

call AAA and bargin with them. If you already have a membership, I bet going thru them would be your cheapest bet. Good luck.

He's just mad because he expects his FD with a blown engine to be fixed in 1 month and have 400 HP.

It's pushing 500hp, and the engine is almost complete. The tow was for a different reason. Lets drive a new engine without a tune, I bet that sounds great.

The engine has been down for 3 months genius....

I'm not a hater, just sick of whiners who know nothing about rebuilding an engine for 400 HP.

Damn...I guess its good to live in the boonies LOL. And the best part, is the U-Haul is located about a mile from my apartment (and no I don't live in the ghetto hehe).

You could always try to find a tow bar, take your front bumper off, and tow the car that way.

There is nothing wrong with driving a car on a base tune. With a heavy foot on a rebuild, then that's a problem.

3 months is nothing. You have no patience. Any shop banging out a 500 HP FD won't be done in 1 month.

I am not building the engine... holy Christ. Get the facts straight before you start roasting.....

But if you want to post about someone elses experience with building... than sure.

The car needs to be towed to a shop for tuning, I am not going to move it 50 miles with crapass timing.

Apparently you have never dealt with the truly wealthy. Money can get you anything you want done.
