True that lol, I want to paint my car blue but don't know if I want to go through all the work at this point in time. My cars pretty clean for being original paint and a DD.

(funny thing about that is, that cops drove by looking at me take this motor apart and gave me funny looks along with my neighbors...)

i also want to note that it was my first time tearing down an RE, soo i took my time to look at were vac hoses were hooked up to, etc.. and i got distracted by ppl looking at me and asking questions about what i was doing lol

now heres when the fun began and i started to notice something things...





**** the ports are huge lol

 

Rotor had a lot of carbon build up on it..

 

everything looked good at first glance... ^

but then i notice this in the front housing coolant jacket.....



it looked like beach sand/ kinda muddy... who knows how that got in there

 

tear down completed... took some dumb pics.. here lol








pretty much just bagged and tagged everything off the motor...

and yes i tore down the motor on the back of my pick up..

 

soo basically i had some spare time..

soo i decided to clean some of the irons and housing with a parts washer...

cleaned off a **** load of gunk, oil,etc.....


i think i did a good job,.. still gotta clean everything off better though.. what do you think??
