Ain't that the truth. I'm at the point where I'm constantly trying to convince myself NOT to do more to the car as I know I'm the weak link in the system. I don't have a lot of ego on the line here fellas and if Jaime or Robert, or any of the other die hard rotor head on here wups me at an autocross/track day I'm still stoked to be driving a car that's this much fun.
Heck, I've had my *** handed to me enough times by spec miatas making 1/3 the power to know that there's more than big numbers required to go fast (and if you want to see big numbers there are about a dozen turbo v8 rx7s I can point you to). I give Jaime a big thumbs up for thinking through his build with the intent to make it as reliable as possible given his goals. Having a car you can drive a lot is the only way to both get it dialed in and start to get comfy with substantial horsepower.

i know theres always going to be faster cars out there, but i know my build will be reliable and fun. considering im taking all one step at a time, no taking the cheap route, etc.
i seen ppl tune ther high HP turbo 7s to get 28 miles to the gallon, with the right tune..
im keeping it true to the Rotary FD, because it gonna be fun to have a rivalry with the piston 7s....
because those seem to be my only true compitition...

even if im not the fastest car out there, i know my fd is gonna be a lot of fun, and unique, considering what i have planned for it.
and ill be happy knowing im driving a special sports car thats 17 yrs older then the cars currently on the road. ill be glad to show up some of the young bloods out there(subies, evos, gtrs, 350z, etc)
how many ppl can say they pretty much built there car from the car from the ground up now a days.....
i just cant wait to get it all set up... and it should be coming along pretty soon

Unless you make real good money, the minute you buy an FD, you're guaranteed not to have money. It consumes your wallet and your soul.

so what if its a stock build, i never had an fd yet alone never been near one, you have...
