harsh words but they speak the truth..oh well..i know the 7 has limits, and of course any american car is going to have major horsies..and that would figure..you dont see mazda coming out with a 450hp 7 now do you..? then again you could just do that yourself..

500 HP= no grip..... and bring cash.....2000 atleast. You can take your pick from a bunch of cars if your serious. there is a 87 GNX that is pretty fast, the black SS(good luck car goes 150+ in the quarter) Valley boys also have the baddest 03 cobra I have seen. Pulls the wheels on launch and screams. If you dont hook, forget it IMO.

i can understand a couple guys finding an old deserted road and going at it, all good IMO, but when you stick $10-15k+ under the hood, do you really wanna show up to those neon parties and get your **** taken away for impressing the 15 second honda crowd?

I had always thought GTO are slow. Just a couple of months ago, there were like 3 GTO at the Raceway doing low 14s' all day... I think towards the end of the day, one manage a 13.9... But still seeing all three 400HP doing mid 14's to low 14's is slow to me, if you ask...

Hey jackass...... I have been in the scence since the EARLY 90'S MANSVILLE?! Alameda ST... you name I was there, including Van wrecking his vw and killing that dumbass that pulled out in front of him. I have been around............and my hommies where the fastest on the street. Ever heard of the soba brothers?! The owned alameda in the hay day and taught me about the street at an early age. The only fast imports had v8's IE a few z cars. I live a mile from mansville so STFU with your out of date misinformation.........And save your cash, I dont run for under 2000. BTW you couldnt convice me of your BB domination if you had a video.....Or they gave you half the track and the leave. What year was this again?!

The best post in this entire thread!! If you want to run for money, go to a damn track. Why risk hitting someone by stander on the street? Even from a purely driver's point of view the track is the way to go. Too many variables on the street like uneven pavement, pot holes, oil spots, cross streets and other cars, people, etc., etc. Just my .02 anyway.

you forget that LA only has 2 tracks. One in palmdale, and the new one in fontana. FTR the streets they run are in commercial areas, no houses/ people/traffic. EMPTY STREETS. Before all the tracks where closed, streetracing wasnt as popular when TI was open. WE HAD A TRACK TO GO TO.

Gotcha. You have to remember, I'm from the southeast and we typically had 1 to 2 tracks within driving distance of wherever you were. It's different out here though. Still trying to get used to Cali.

Rubbernecking (out of state drivers) causes traffic jams in LA.

Alright, I've already told people to knock off the bullshit in one thread. I don't want to have to do it in every thread in the West section. You guys need to grow up.

I need to dial in the 7 in the next few weeks. Your right 500rwhp will be hard to grip. I had 420+ to the wheels and it was hard to grip even with my 2 step and M/T slicks. But than again this was on my warehouse backyard. Not sure if the rears will give out with VHT, or even on a real track. By the way do you guys head out to tracks every weekend? I want to see what i have against..

The 6 liter GTO is not slow. It's about 1/2 a car length slower than the LS2 Vette up to 60mph.

The Vortech Supercharged GTO will hand both of your asscheeks to you on a silver platter.

Done what? The GTO is a well built car that is very comfortable as a daily driver.

Don't say that you get all the tards jumping up and down (spilling their Kool aid in the process) screaming about how much a piece of **** the GTO is and the 7 can beat it even with the tank completly dry of fuel.

Just read page one. You'll see I am just being sarcstic based upon the initial reactions I got when giving any credit to the GTO.

Now, get back on the wagon!!!! Teh 7 FTW
