So. Cal Steve Kan Tune Day Guaging Interest
I am going to be setting up another Steve Kan Tune day in So. Cal, and would like to gauge interest.
Currently I am looking at sometime in January, and was thinking the weekend of the 24th or the 31st.
Post up if you are intereted. We need at least 5 people for him to come out, but can usually squeeze in 9 or 10 or 2 days.
Based on your input, I will nail down an exact date, and start collecting deposits on a first come first serve basis.

if i were to get a power fc tuned, would i need to have a commander or datalogit or will he have all the needed components in order to tune the vehicle. I'm thinking about just picking up a power fc without a commander or datalogit and bringing it to the dyno and he can just plug it in and tune away.

Yeah I don't know if I'll have time to get it together but I'd really like to run some more boost on this crappy 91 octane, especially since I just put in the BNR stage IIIs. We'll see, it should be a very slick setup if I actually get the time to put it together.

Okay boys and girls, here is the basic information taken from the previous tune day.
Prices for the tune are directly from the Steve Kan sub forum:
$350 - Stock turbo up to 12psi of boost (pump gas only) 1 map
$400 - aftermarket turbo up to 16psi of boost (pump gas only) 1 map
$450 - aftermarket turbo from 16psi - 25psi of boost (race gas and/or auxiliary injection only) 1 map
$600 - aftermarket turbo up to 25psi of boost (pump gas and race gas tune) 2 maps
Here is the estimated time frame allocated for each type of tuning.
1) stock turbo - 45 mins - 1.5 hrs
2) aftermarket turbo (pump gas) 1hr - 2.5 hrs
3) aftermarket turbo (race gas and/or auxiliary injection) 2 - 4hrs
4) aftermarket turbo (2 maps) 3-6 hrs
Dyno time pricing is as follows.
1) +150
2) +200
3) +250
4) +300
If for ANY reason you have to come off and get back on the dyno there will be an additional $50 added onto the dyno fee. So be prepared, and have everything squared away BEFORE you get strapped down.
Use of the shop's wideband is available for $15. Absolutely no race gas!
Be prepared! REAR DIFFUSERS need to be removed before it is your turn to tune. If you want the shop to do it for you, The charge will be $40.
So that is the skinny on costs. I will post information on deposits shortly.

Shut up!!!! Besides last time I bought all you fools lunch on both days, and did'nt ask for a dime.
The charges for **** like rear diffuser removal are in there so people will do it themselves before they get to the tune. I don't want people showing up, like they did the last time, with no tools, expecting the mechanic to do for free. It also wastes time when we are trying to squeeze in 5 cars a day.
So there bite me! Oh, and, my lights still kick ***!!!!
