We had a good day at Rotary Reliability & Racing. The cars and (1 4Runner/1 SC400) went non-stop on their dyno. Nick even provided some pizza and hot wings! Thanks for the great job by Louis and Cory done by Rotary Reliability & Racing! They kept things running smoothly all day! Lets see those pix and vids!
Thanks!!!

Apparently boost was dropping off to 7 or 8 by redline, so it could be some exhaust restriction, like the stock cat on there, perhaps.

As for the A/F being lean - the guy running the dyno didn't seem to be to concerned about it - what A/Fs should be targeted for a wot run like that?

Cheers,
Simon.

Although not as impressive as the 200+ hp numbers that others were putting down, my 194K mile, personally rebuilt (with Joe Romeo's expertise too) stock carb 12A put down 103 hp and 97 ft/lbs of torque. Mods are FC ignition, RB muffler, and Bonez Catalytic converter system.

I was really impressed with how smooth the power comes on and how well the carb actually maintains a decent (for a carb) AFR.

ummm.... when Steve Tuned my car with the single on there, we kept it at like 11.0-11.2-4..... at wot when it went to load, thats what my AFR's were... i made 375rwhp at 14 psi.... but thats way too lean and its spiking lean at one point also... its all based on personal preference but thats way too lean in my book.. i think its the computer...

I turned down the boost to try and not lean it out so much
but the second run was a little better than the 1st but had to stop since of AFR.

REPU put 144 hp and 125 tq to the ground. old school 13b 4port mild streetport, 48mm dell, 39mm chokes. 100mm twm bellmouth stacks, header and exhaust, msd6al and magnecore wires.

Nice flat torque curve.

I have a 2.2 meg video if anyone wants it emailed to them.

I think Brad used a disposable camera so pretty good considering.

Brad, I don't recall you swapping chokes. Did you try a different size?

Nope, didn't make any carb changes. Just bumped the timing up 5* and got another 1.47hp. Disposable camera shot of REPU; takes better shots outside in sunlight.
