Should i do this

Its a 1988 rx7. It has a newer engine, new clutch. Runs ok the struts are done. Tires are ok. For my 01 ninja 250 with brand new yoshimura pipes,uni filters, New tires. He is offering his car and $500 bucks. Idk alot about rx7s but is it worth it? It smokes alittle but he said the oil injecter is running rich? So need some help i just want a ******* rx7 haha. thanks

01 Ninja 250? Hes giving you the car + $500? Sounds like a decent deal to me..I'd pay a local rotary mechanic to check it out before hand though...compression and such.

well it needs struts, shift linkage is loose, and he said the oil injecter is running it rich on oil idk about that but thats what he said?

Oil injectors running rich? Sounds like a load of ****. The S4 OMP is mechanically driven..I've never seen one somehow inject way too much oil...there may be a possibility the seals are leaking. (They are in the rotors and the whole engine must be torn down to replace them.)

The omp flows oil in drops, not streams. No way smoking is caused by over active oil injectors by themselves. But, doesn't mean the car isn't a really good deal.

soo its a good deal? because he is giving me the old engine too. So i might just rebuild the engine thats out of the car? i know its not going to pass smog tho .

T2's blow up too soon. For a daily get a N/A you don't really need turbo power anyway for daily. My N/A blew it's original motor at 220k. Most T2s I don't see lasting over 150.

but if it's the oil seals on the rotors that are bad, it becomes a shitty deal.
