very nice! That's the same kind of diffuser I was looking to get when I had an FD.

road **** from sticking to the back of the car...uhh dunno what you mean, but it is a huge dust pan, it likes to collect pebbles and such, no big deal tho

i have the ground control coil over kit so i raised the car about an inch before i installed it, i havent bottomed out yet, but ive been very careful and you can see the clearance from the one pic in front of my house.

as for install, if you have the model rx-7 with rear mudflaps, its a simple bolt on easy install, all you need to do is drill a hole in the center of the bumper. As for me with a base RX-7, I had to improvise because i dont have the clips that are used to screw the flaps to the rear fender, there are just two 3/8" square holes on each side. I used a license plate mounting kit from pep-boys, worked like a charm and its super secure i tried to rip it off, it aint comin off. Only thing i had to do was cut the screw on the driver side rear most screw.

i dont wanna paint the bolts black until i get the thing properly pop riveted into the fender so there is no more gap, but dont worry its gonna be done right...eventually lol, more pressing matters are finding a replacement passenger headlight cover >=(

My understanding of a rear diffuser is to keep the air from lifting the back end of the car up. It allows the air to flow straight off the back of the car, creating less drag and less uplift on the rear end. Good for high speeds... but under 80-90mph it doesn't really do much...

correct me if I am wrong... cause I'd like to know.

i've got a pretty powerful fan and a smoke machine...
wouldn't exactly be wind tunnel quality work, but i wonder if i could get a video of how the smoke travels over the car to better visualise it.

hey fanatic, if it works out on my car, wanna come up for an afternoon and **** around with the smoke machine? i'll put a disco ball up in the shack and we can rock out!

Better clear the garage floor or someone is going to break a leg getting lost in all that smoke.
