Sevenstock 'day before' caravan/which hotel we choosing? thread

I few of us talked about going up the day before and staying nearby. Any thoughts? Looks like the recommended hotel is not in Rosamond. Never been up there before myself.

That is a nice hotel and the management is exceptional. It is located right next to a minor league baseball stadium and across the street is cinemark 22 movie theaters.

If you are looking for a place to hang out the night before check out www.TheblvdLancaster.com

It is a pretty cool spot in Lancaster that has awesome photo back drops and tons of places to eat and drink. I think we should have a night before meet there!

When I've gone to the track for the weekend, I've stayed at the Palmdale Hotel. It's really nice and about 25 mins from the track. That's where I think ill be staying the night before.

Just be careful leaving your rare or expensive cars/parts at the Palmdale hotel. You will be 2 miles from the poorest and hottest crime ridden area in palmdale. I work smack dab in the middle of that neighborhood and it isnt pretty. You might be ok because you are on the west side of the freeway, but anything on the east side of the freeway in palmdale is questionable.

Just sayin', not hatin'.

Gotta admit, this is one reason I'm kinda hesitant to go up the night before, even though given the distance involved it'd be more practical this year.

Does the 'official' hotel have any night lot security? Most hotels don't.

As far as I know there is no night security at the official hotel. It is how ever next to a post office and a large harley davidson dealer. The post office has cameras and police often write reports in the harley lot if that brings any comfort to you.

As for distance and time involved to get up here, I have made it to Long Beach from my house which is about a 100 mile drive in about one hour and ten minutes. Willow springs is about 15 to 20 minutes up the road from me.

The good thing about the 14 fwy is there is nearly zero traffic early in the morning headed north, but if you have a radar detector use it. CHP activities are limited on the weekends but not non existent. I have some tips about where they hide but I dont know all of their spots.

The HOTEL is well aware of our presence and concerns, and things will be addressed accordingly.

On the CHP issue, the CHP will be notified of the large number of RX vehicles going to the event, especially the presence of the large official SS caravan that will be annouced soon.

Guys, please SUPPORT THE OFFICIAL HOTEL, or we just waste our time doing it for you all. The Hampton Inn is nice, our first choice actually, but they would not make an acceptable deal with SevenStock, so we could not book them... they wanted +$120. a night, we felt this was too much for our SS people to pay.
