Seems like all the pro photographers strongly favored the outside-displayed cars... I've waded through a ton of them, and the vast majority of published shots were of outdoor cars.

I'm guessing a combination of lighting, backdrop, and more space between cars providing for better shot angles.

Not "mad" Bern... but I have to admit I enjoy seeing pix of my car at events taken by others; I'm not much of a photographer myself, so some of the best shots of my car I have were taken by others.

I like collecting them.
