Where are they going....

Was there some bill passed to outlaw Manual Transmissions? Is there some legitimate threat we should be aware of? Or are you just posting some stupid facebook group that you had a slight chuckle at and think is clever.

"Middle-aged house wives aren't buying manuals and Ferrari doesn't offer the option on their latest super car!!! WAAAAAA It's taken me a year to do a stock motor swap in my 23 year old mazda, and I'll never be able to afford a Ferrari, but this is an outrage!!!"

Manual transmissions are in trouble. A slim percentage of cars sold today have them, and Ferrari’s latest doesn’t even offer a three-pedal manual. Rally with us to raise awareness and appreciation of the stick shift!
Rally cars don't have manual transmissions either RicerJ.

If there were more cars that I would be interested in that came with them, then I'd be able to say something. But since I can barely afford my 23 year old FC, I'm not really in the market for a new car right now and therefore have no say in these matters as far as the automakers are concerned.

I guess you don't care about preserving the carburetor, drum brakes, bias-ply tires, recirculating-ball steering, or the collapsable steering column.

You realize automatic transmissions are superior to manuals in every way except possibly weight, right?

Except for the fact that it allows you to have full control over the gearing of the car. I will always take a manual over an auto.
