San Jose GTG - Weekly Wednesday

Our 3rd weekly meet and we are expecting a largest crowd yet. I have PMs from many members asking directions and expressing their interest.

Please come by and express you opinion on where the new meet up spot should be. Also I'd like see if we can form an official norcal7 club, like the one in socal so we can partake in more organized events.

The location will be the same Kripsy Kremes for this week:

July 20th, 7:30 PM

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts
18578 Prospect Road
Saratoga, CA 95070
Google Map

IMPORTANT REMINDER: After the initial meet up we will head off to a nearby restaurant for some good food. Feel free to bring your friends and a healthy appetite. Enjoy your meal with other rx-7 owners, share your car experiences and your future plans for your ride.

Post and let us know what car you'll be brining with you.

So, who's coming besides me? Should I just fold this one? Thought I had more interest than this.

These meets are a great idea, I unfortunately have to cover for my co-worker on that day, I'll see if Dino (the Z28 guy) wants to go. PM me your cell number so I can call you, my lunch might be around that time so I'll show up where you guys go.

LOL

Tell Dino that I saw his *** today on the road. Making a left turn from Bascom onto Hamilton. I was on my way back from lunch.

Would more people show up if it was earlier or later?

Neil, you got PM.

Of course. Think of this meet as more of a rx7-centric car enthusiasts' GTG(Get ToGether), not just an impersonal and prejudiced car-specific(even worse...engine type-specific) club meet.

Feel free to bring out your friends and family if you'd like. Only thing that I wouldn't want to see is just a clicks of people patched out here and there, to themselves.

Life is too short, make some friends and enjoy it while you can! LOL

Almost, I bought the car from a guy in Arizona who bought the car from Santa Clara. LOL.

If signature is your car, bring it out. Looks nice, I'd like to check it out.

RED1990GTU - Nate, was it? Sorry I'm bad with names. Yeah, definitely come again. BTW, I might be playing into the stereotypes, but do you surf? You looked like a surfer.

Starbrust between El camino and lawrance is a nice place to meet up too, they usually have a lot of different kind of car meeting over there, almost every other day.

That's smack in the middle of busy shopping part of El Camino. We don't want unwanted attention and definitely don't want to turn this into a wacky car meet/show where people just drop by to glance at other people's car and then leave. It's too high profile and a drive from all highways.

That's basically what Sunday night euro(?) meet is like over there at Starbucks. People just gawk at each other's car, gangsta stare-down(lol, j/k), etc etc. Not that I'm above them or anything, but I've had enough of that when I was younger. You ever seen Civic w/ hydraulics taking corners on just 2 wheels? Funny, but no thanks. I'm cool with that.

haha sweet, Ive seen your car a few years back. I know the guy in santa clara. yes, thats my car in my signature. Im in the middle of a LS1 conversion so it wont be ready for another few weeks. The mounting kit, engine, and tranny is already installed. Im just waiting for the rest of my parts to come in. If my other FD's dont sell soon, ill take it out to the meets.

Cool. Good luck and hope to see you there. We could always use more torque.

I heard there aren't that many FC's coming to these meets.

Well I should be there with my white FC, and I'll probobly come with a friend. So that's 2 FCs added to the meet

Awesome. We have about even number of FC and FD at the meets.

Word of advice: just get a drink or something when you get there. If you get donuts, you'll kill your appetite. Guaranteed.

Natey and RedGTU, I know you guys wanted to go for a cruise, but we'll save that for later when we get more members. Hopefully we can charter an official club soon so we can start negotiating group discounts from vendors and plan "official" GTGs.
