I don't think that I can attend this year but since I ended up at the front of the caravan last year, I heard quite a few complaints that the FD guys at the front were driving too fast. Based on that, I'd recommend that for this year the FB's go first followed by FC's and then followed by FD's. The exception to this is Teddy's FB....it should go to the back because it's faster than most cars in the caravan!

 

hahaha thanks bro but this year im driving my truck towing my brothers datsun 1200 turbo project. okay guys im searching the 5 north exits this weekend to find something close to the highway and that has easy getting on to so we don't get seperated getting onto the highway anythoughts on meet up times?

teddy, lets meet at Qualcom. its pretty easy to get to, and easy to get back on the 5. then make a stop round camp pendleton for the others.

hey so when and where is SSX at, I want details damn it LOL like i said i am new and just curious about the more obvious questions you guys probably already know

 

also a pretty good meet spot would be walmart off the 78 and the 5, pretty easy, take the 5 to 78 and next exit is jefferson, then you go left and left to walmart, then when getting on the highway you just go right and right, the traffic usually isn't to bad getting back onto the 78/5, a couple quick rights and you are back on track, i can't say anthing about getting off at jefferson, that does suck pretty much everytime i do it, just an idea, throwin it out there...

 

We need something with less light in between some people don't cruise as fast as other then bitch and complain how the other half of the group left them behind.
but the Q is a thought, is the parking lot open, can we pull in and just park in the stalls. Thats the thing we have to make sure that at 5:30am we can get in wait for about an hour and then roll out with no problem.

Hehe, I only go on the forum at work I've been pushing hard to get it done in time. Right now they're starting on the 8 point chromoly roll cage, while I order the 99 spec front bumper so they can do the twin core v-mount intercooler measurements which will also need my custom twin turbo set up to be started on first. Plus I need to order the Motec M48 engine management system and have a custom harness made. It would help if I could find a way to drive my built 13B down there for them to do the turbo set up

 

Us Corvette guys meet by the Starbucks off Friar's Road and don't leave until 9-9:30 usually, with no problems in the parking lot. With as early as you guys are talking about, there shouldn't be any problem.

My FD is in need of a Power FC so she's not going this time around(funds man funds!). If you guys don't mind a supercharged C5, I could be the black sheep in the group.

Update: I'm definetly not going to be able to take the FD. I swear I'm going backwards with this thing.

It knows I come from the light side, so it does everything it can to NOT work for me.

Well I didn't think I'd be the fastest car in the caravan. Just the black sheep that everybody denies knowing when asked.
