S.D. mechanic

Hey guys as a result from the Saturday San Diego rotary meet i think i might have found a mech with experience here in San Diego. Mel a member was kind enough to enlighten us with his hidden jewel of a mechanic and was not shy about slutting out his number. Dan the man(i hope) who works out of econo-lube.(owner/operator).
Spoke to him today and it seems like I got myself a meet and greet with him later on this week for some TLC for my 93fd3s. I look forward to letin yall know after the initial exchange.... fingers crossed, thanks Mel. Who the **** is Mel? where the **** is Mel? .. All day long @ the meet.

TEDDY, where do i start. No really, i need to have all the pulleys looked @ to see if the power steering or AC pulley is causing my car to sound like it's supercharged.
The last mechanic of the previous owner obviously over tighten them or perhaps the bearing is riding hard do to the heat expansion. things like this, more regular TLC then anything. I would like to have her running OEM before i start bolting on stuff for performance. I need to be @ zero or zero it out before all of the stuff i have order gets put on or else i'll never be able to figure out what and why things are not functioning.

The guy he's taking it to owns RX-7's and has wenched on them for years. The recommendation comes from Mel and I trust that he's not going to send a fellow rotorhead to some idiot with a Wal-Mart "My First Tool Kit".

15YRS to be exact. Don has worked on 1st and mostly 2nd gens but he has ran across 3rd gen as well. given this fact and i rather risk it with someone with experience rather then some shop i don't know of here in san diego. hopfully i be able to follow up with a write of the meet and greet later on.
