Hey, i am new here, so here is a myth i heard from a friend, he say you can make any rx7 pass smog if you pour some rubbing alcohol (isopropanol)in the tank before your test and it will pass.

is there any truth to this? Thanks.

I heard when rotarys blow, you have a VERY good chance of losing your right foot. Is this true?

I heard that when an apex seal blows it can make it through a turbine spinning in excess of 15K rpm and make it out without hitting a single turbine blade !

Yes. I've had a dumbass RX-8 owner park next to me when I was at Willow Springs and look directly at my LS1 FC's engine bay and say "Us rotary guys gotta stick together!"

There's a higher risk of you losing both feet if you spin the engine past 10k+ RPM's That's why you get a scatter shield.
