hey ive got this done before cause my car came from florida. its best to have that sticker on there under the hood. the only thing is that i had a dmv employee do it. i have seen chp or local law enforcement do the inspection do it too! if you see a cop car its best not to take your chances.

yeah the inspection at the dmv isnt really strict. i brought my car from az and it dosent even have the vin on the dash. only on the firewall, and she was all like, "eh" and still let it fly. although i do have the emissions sticker. gl

Go to the Santa Ana DMV.
Ask for Manny. Slip him a c-note and you don't even need an inspection or a smog cert.

why would you do that...If your going to build a drag car, just keep the car you have now, and reg. it as a track car only!!!thats what i did with my car...and from there your golden...You guys always have trying to do all kinds of crazy ****....

ive done a few and they just check the milage/vin and smog check and it was good to go, if you can swing a "wacky" smog hook up its real easy to go from NV to CA

CA smog

I'm in a similar situation, only with my annual reg. (not coming from out of state). I used to know people who know people but so far my old connections are falling through. I'm desperate to register my SE.

There is nothing to worry about aslong as you can get your smog passed. With that being said, you can either somehow find all the stock parts and put it back in, or you can have it under tabled. DMV does not do any type of inspection related to the engine or emissions, so as long as you acquire a test only smog certificate the DMV stage should not even concern you as long as you have the VIN number visible. Good luck.
