I'm always suspicious when someone offering a service like this doesn't even put their phone number in the craigslist ad.

Oh wow, Matt you're trying to rebuild engines for money?

Okay guys, here's the deal with this "shop". I was the first person to show him the inside of a rotary. The first engine he ever rebuilt was in my garage only 4 months ago, and he needed a LOT of help to do it. He kept trying to cut corners, even trying to drive the car at one point with TWO BROKEN MOTOR MOUNTS. If money is involved, I wouldn't let him anywhere near my car.

I will say one thing, he is good at cleaning parts. We were going to have him as an apprentice at the shop but he decided to use me for knowledge and to rebuild his S5 engine FOR FREE. Any relationship this guy has with anyone is only for his own personal gain. I should have known this when I overheard a phone coversation he had in my driveway, lying about a S13 he was selling. Saying stuff like he just threw the engine in, when in reality it was the original engine and it was giving him problems. Matt is NOT to be trusted. My two cents.

No drama bro, just TRUTH. I'm just trying to save someone's car from being hacked up by someone that doesn't know what he's doing, that's all.

wowbogusman = Matt

Wow. This is somewhat shady and good. good. cause your looking out for the other members. and shady cause you have beef with wowbogusman. Nonetheless if there are other "partners" involved that means your screwing them over. gg

There's nothing shady bro. He screwed me over as a friend, and it comes out in my posts. I opened up my home to him, treated him like a close friend, all the while he was saying how he wanted to help my shop out and work with us. I made the mistake of believing him, as he said these things while we were working on his car. After his car was done, I pretty much never heard from him again. This makes me sad, and angry. Especially when he used to joke, "don't worry guys, its not like I'm gonna go open up a shop or anything". 4 months later, here we are. So yeah I'm a little bit jaded. To be honest though, if he knew what he was doing, I'd leave it alone. But I'd rather he doesn't screw anyone else over.

I'm human, like anyone else, I don't like it when a friend stabs me in the back. Would you?

This coming from the expert of maturity!

Why don't you tell everyone how long you've been working on cars? Rotaries in particular? What kind of warranty do you offer? Where is the work done? How many engines have you rebuilt? Do you have references with phone numbers?
