Ran the NSX at the Q

Ran a 2.6 60ft and a 9.1 flat at the legal races tonight. Wasn't to exciting because I killed a poor little cougar. Could of been a cavilier SS I don't know.

2nd run was with a Turbo miata with drag radials @9psi. She beat me by a car and got an 8.9. Due to my tires I really felt like I was on ice.

I will bring the Miata to the next drags on the 23rd.

Taped the 89GTU run a 10.9...Must of been stock. Even so I have seen stock 7's run low 10's.

Saw an RX8 run but got beat by a 350Z. Not by much. RX8 got a 9.6

BTW what did that Z get?

I'll see you next time. I want to run my 9psi JRSC Miata against the Turbo Miata and see what happens.

I'll probably be down there to race sometime this month against a couple of my buddies.

Anyone want a piece?

I meant to say anyone want to race me in my RX7? I don't think there's any RX7 in San diego that can take me out in the 1/8th.

I will be in town for the next 4-5 months. It's sort of a sabaticle. I really have nothing to do.

aram, it would be nice if you showed up. There are plenty of fast cars at the Q so I wouldn't worry about racing another 7. I would go out and beat some piston cars.

BTW I did see a 7 run high 7's. What do you run aram?

My RX7's a piston car.

On motor it's run a 7.4 @ 92ish at the Q. I've only run my new nitrous setup in the 1/4 up at sacto, I ran a 50 shot down there a while ago and it went 7.2 @ 96 I think.

You a qualcom junkie? I'll give you a run on the 1/8th =)

You running LS1? So you're pushing somewhere around 330ftlbs/tq? And around the same HP? Maybe up to 380hp?

Also, thats a pretty bold statement. I mean.. maybe you're just trying to get your *** beat, haha. But the 1/8th mile is crap... my car will barely get going on such a short track. But it'd be worth a try....

Where in San Diego are you...?

Shoot me a pm.

An LS1 rx7 is not even an rx7, It's a lighter corvette and wouldn't be worth getting on video. I see corvettes run all the time. You had me all excited

RacerX7FB, Hey I have a Miata coming out of the shop! When do the Autocrosses happen at the Q? I thought it was the 3rd Sunday of every month?

Sorry I didn't know the only redeeming quality of an RX7 was the rotary engine. I'm deeply sorry.

I'm going to put a 13B in a metro and call it an RX7 then.

Why don't you take your 14 second supercar out to a parking lot and learn how to drive it... ? You might do better than 2.6 60fts. Anyway if I see you there I'll be sure to get a race set up between your pos and mine so we can have a video that no one wants to see.

Wow, what a great contributer we have here. Why don't you stay out of the West Section with this **** and go troll the Lounge. You will fit in quite nicely there.

*edit* Read this link kiddie. You have been warned.

Oh **** I didn't noticed that von has a "drag car" FC that might run 9's in the 1/8th!

Bring that bad boy down there too. I want to see the drag special FC.

Can a drag car running 9 second 8th really be a 'drag' car?

Hope that was sarcasm... cause a 9 second 8th usually ends up being around a 13-14 second 1/4.

LOL

I don't have an FC

IMO a drag car is any car that is purpose built. That can be a gutted geo with slicks. Purpose built meaning probably not street legal at that point. You can drag any car.

Go ahead and vent. My self asteem has gone down too after buying 2 piston cars.

BTW I have the honor of knowing that I own/owned the three greatest sports cars of all time out of Japan. RX7, Miata and the NSX.

That was my wife in the MSM, who happens to be #1 in the pts in the fast street class. I have actually gotten it to 8.6 on the same boost level when conditions are better. It was humid and warmer than usual last friday. The 8 just isn't that fast yet. 9.6 is all its got with cat back only. I can beat z's usually too by rt alone. For those who say they havn't run the 1/8th, it still says it on your 1/4 timeslip. I wish we had a 1/4 but carlsbad is long gone so its all we have down here. My wife is excited to race the JRSC miata so bring it down on the 23rd. Thanks for running her in the NSX, that really made her feel good. When I get my www.speedforceracing.com turbo setup on my 8, I will try and give the ls1 7 a run for its money but with those slicks it'll be tough. Too bad I just dropped 10g's on upgrades on my new house or I'd have it right now.

I know who you are dude, I love 7's and yours is the fastest one I see there, regardless of engine choice its fast. I don't think my cars are racing you and time soon. Unless we are bracket racing. We can run bracket if you like. She has had 2 .500's a in the last couple weeks and we both ran 90%+ .5xx's in reaction time last week so consistency is good, but that's not enough yet by a long shot. Her gt30r and hydra ecu should help but again damm house is hurting the funds big time. See ya down there.

Anyone who says an Rx7 with a LS1 is not an Rx7 has never owned a 3rd gen. Ive owned mine for 6yrs and have had to pay more for repairs than the car cost. Plus it has trouble passing smog the LS1 doesn't.

Everytime I hear an LS1 on an FD, I look at the car and hear the exhaust rumble... and say to myself, "That's not right." - Then again, when I pickup another FD - guess what it'll be getting... lol.
