"Racer" question (I guess...?) *WOULD YOU GET MAD IF*

Okay so.... I got clocked doing 98mph in the city(I couldn't help it... o.O
(Was at night and no one on the road)

Now, would you get mad if you were pulled over and told you were going "98MPH" not the 100MPH like your speedo said/looked?

I got away because the sheriff guy was really really cool and nice(not wanting my insurance to get ripped to hell)
and he said slow it the **** down or you'll die and most likely take others with you....

I mean, I'm so grateful that he let me go... but I was still a TAD bit upset I was only 'doing 98'
I know what the penalty is for going that fast, so don't bother... :P

would you be a LITTTTLE upset at all? o.O;; lol

-call me dumb and a 'stupid young arcade racer kid' but hey, if my car can do it in less than a 1/4mile why not try to hit 100 before a given spot(in this situation, a stop light(that was green)

fast is fun imo...... >,>

Do you have aftermarket rims? your speedo is prolly set for stock gearing on a stock rim on a stock sized tire. If you have changed any of the above three it could throw off your speedometer.

So i wouldnt feel too bad. Its helping guys like you and me, by clocking us that give these cops a sense of pride in their job. They love to help us tune our cars on the streets.

I wouldn't do 100mph in the city. That's just asking for it.

Okay.

1 i've hit 140 on the freeway....
I know i'll get mine sooner or later but it's just exhilarating
2 actually i've got stocks.... No money for nicer looking rims i thought of that, though,... Maybe because right when i hit what i thought was 100 i let off the gas and slowed down. The cop caught up to me at the next street light and started to do the usual... He also pointed out my car's emissions are horrid... Lol

3 my car is slow to me... I'd like to, when it's running good, just have it as a track car, but putting so much into her keeps me away from financing a new reliable car,.... But now i'm just going to baby her till she finally gives out....

4 it was maybe less than a 1/4 only from one side street light to another side street light.
He also looked in my car and asked if i installed the seatbelt lol he was like. Good thing because your auto ones don't work huh? Lol

18 ya but at least i did that my first time and learned not to do that in the city or in traffic...

Less than a 1/4 mile to 100... I don't think your FC is that fast. If I was the cop, your car would be sitting in the impound.

I would have kicked out your rear light and told you I pulled you over because your light is busted. Then I would have junked your FC.

besides we all know FCs couldn't reach 100mph if it was dropped out of a jumbo jet at 25,000 feet.

Wow, I am sorry but you are an idiot. Its one thing to do this sort of stupid crap in some back woods/ empty street. In the city? Come on? Manslaughter... Ever heard of it?

Now, I did high speed stuff on and off the track. Never REMOTELY near a city. Thats just asking to harm someone.

If I was ever a cop seeing that ****, you would have been in jail. End of story, I wish he had helped you learn a lesson. There is no reason to be doing that anywhere remotely near population.

You lose control in the city at those sorts of speeds say trying to avoid a tire on 19th ave guess what happens? You slam into someones business, or worse... their home. Kill a couple of people while they are sleeping.

If you would like some high speed thrills legally or illegally then by all means go for it. For god sakes man don't do it where you could potentially hurt or kill someone. These are exactly the reasons there are so many crack downs and double standards for people (younger and older) driving any sort of sports cars.

Sorry I usually keep quiet about these sort of things because well I have done some stupid crap in my past but I can honestly say I never took it to a level of endangering peoples lives like that!
