yeah it isn't legal to change trannies but most smog techs will only say something if it has been an auto to manual swap. changing over the hood with the corresponding labels would be enough to fool just about any smog tech anyways but whether the machine would catch it by VIN is something i'm not sure of.

has that changed in 3 years since i got the smog cert? i remember going over that topic in class. but no need to be such a **** there homeboy.
and the smog tech doesn't care.
