can you take a picture from the top side of that manifold zero, this confuses me a bit.

So the external waste gate goes where that square section is?

Forgive me, I don't think I've ever looked at a single turbo exhaust manifold closely.

A couple years ago i thought the exhaust goes on to where the wastegate is, i didn't even know theres such thing as a wastegate.
