A buddy of mine met an interested buyer for his Rx7 when buyer opted to drive off with the car on sunday from a Target Parking Lot.

Heres what Happend:

Met the guy Saturday night - NO problem ..let me think about after test drive
text came in 3pm saying : can i see the car in day time so i can decide 100%
4pm sunday at target mall
many people around
w/ sec. camera around
test drove - no problem
negotiation - no problem
4:20pm front of target (many people and Sec camera)
in parking lot
he asked me "can i hear your engine one more time before i make my final decision)
standing next to him 24"
he starts up (24" front of me)
and took off from the parking lot

I just wanted to make sure you guys dont get scammed when this happens and make sure that who ever buys your car you get there ID and a Lic plate of the car they came in. Unless that was stolen too that wouldnt help you much.



Just a heads up…Keep an eye out for any/all of these parts, just in case they show up on Craigslist/Ebay or whatever…

Some parts on the car that will be easy to spot..

CE28n 18x9.0 +35 18x10.5 +18 genesis limited w/ Yokohama AD07 New tires.. this is a very rare setup and also there is an ARC prototype shift ****.. there is only 1 in the entire USA.

My buddy from Mackin (Volk, ARC, Etc) posted his car on craigslist for sale and the prospective buyer boosted the car in front of him.

The guy was a caucasian male.. very clean cut.. had an iPhone etc. The security cameras have the guys picture as well as the phone number and emails that he used reported to the police. Hopefully they catch this guy. The pictures on the craigslist ad is recent and was posted by the original seller from mackin.

 

back in the 310. no sign of the FD around the 91. sorry.

The cops havent found the chasis yet? Man this must of been pro who ver did this has to have conncetions. Seriously no trace of the car been found, I.E. burnt chasis , vin numbers, apb reported.

Who ever did this knows about our cars, guarantee you they have a fd . I would start looking at ebay for new listings for "oem" parts that are for sale in the area. Forget all the expensive cool stuff like the wheels and aftermarket parts those are gonners . But chances are if theres plenty of oem parts on ebay the car chasis is still with the thief.

Atleast finding the car can help you get this guy put away. Sorry for all those parts they are goners now.
