paint Shop in socal
paint Shop in socal
anyone know where a good paint shop in socal? i have a CF hood and i want to have it painted . so does anyone know any good paint shop? or experience with them? thank you
I had my 99 spec spoiler and c-west rear bumper painted and installed at M1 Autobody. They did a good job in my opinion. They're located near near you in El Monte.
They did a Veilside Fortune body kit for a car that's for sale on autotrader right now.

There's also 2020 Autobody in City of Industry, PJ Bonaficio in La Puente, and MOB Works in Orange.

Dude just get it done somewhere and pay for it. If you're just having the hood completely painted (as opposed to leaving some bits of the CF unpainted as some do) then most body shops will do just fine ... just use citysearch and find something local with good ratings. "Knowing someone" to paint one piece that requires very minimal prep isn't going to save you much money because the materials are most of the cost.

Sun Valley here in Ramona is awesome! Took care of my 8 fender and you would never know. The older gentleman owns it; he's had two large shops in San Francisco and SD.
I plan on having him do my whole FD kit come this summer.

Pics
Here are pics of my rear bumper and 99 spec wing. I think the color match is good. You have to keep in mind that the body is metallic and the bumpers and wings are urethane or fiberglass so the color is never going to be exact because of the difference in surfaces.
Is you car black like you in your avatar?
I used to have a montego blue FD and that color is impossible to match with old paint. I hear the same problem exists for CYM.
