Paint question
what type of paint should i use to paint my rear interior? right now i am in the process of sanding the interior down and detailing since its dirty as hell.
For the interior its very simple
1- clean parts with degreaser or dawn soap
2- wipe them down clean and then wipe down with a cleaning agent like alcohol or thinner
3- buy vinyl grade paint or if you cant afford it buy walmarts satin black rattle can paints.
4- very light hazy coats for the first 3 ,then do 3 solid coats and let dry for a few hours.
5 - install carefully because it will scratch but not easily. If its some type of vinyl ,leather or cloth the paint will stick and wont come off. If its abs plastic or usual rx7 grade plastic dont expect it to last long if you will be constanly using it.
Some the areas and parts that have no hope are kick panels, door strips, plastic b pillars (fc3s seat belts scratches them)
NOTE: Dont sand anything you will make things worse, if you want it to stick better get a scotch pad(light-med) felt and hit it with that.

all i did was take out all the plastic remove sound deadening material with 409 and a rubber mallet and screwdriver disconnect wire harness then just sprayed right on top of it all after a light cleaning and it came out great all i did was spray it with spray cans from kragen
Applicance enamel or any epoxy based paint, pick a grey or medium shades if you can find it. Avoid white as it'll have too much glare in the sun and give you a headache over time.
