Hey everyone I finally took my left axel out to inspect eveything yesterday, the cv boot was fine and not torn, and everything just seemed fine but I can't see the actual cv joint it self. I cleaned and put it all back together, when I started driving again it sounded alot better but I can hear a real tiny clunck when I first start to accelerate forward or backward which is how the problem first started, so I am pretty sure it will just get bad again, do you guys think I should just take off the boots and inspect or anyone have a turbo axel, open for suggestions

 

Did you check the wheel bearing?? Also try tightening all bolts. I use to have a clunking sound when I turned and I thought it was a boot too, so I took it to a friend and we put the car on a lift and he tightend everything under the car and it was gone.

 

your not talking about a broken rear end mount clunk are you? vipers, zero. you know what i am talking about!

 

Ha I don't know when I go back home this weekend I will check, rember though the noise was really small then over a little time it got really bad making a loud clunking kinda noise only while coasting with out throttle or brake input, after I took out the axel and checked everything and put it back together it was real quite again barley noticable, I then drove about 40miles and it is still real quite but not right in my opinion, you only hear it now when to start to drive from a dead stop forward or reverse a small little knock or clunk

hey everyone, just wanted to let you all know that there is a basball meet in the works. check out the RX8 site for more details. i hope some of you RX7 guys can make it. we missed you all last meet.

 

HMM... not sure if I'll make it, all I know is that I am starting to have RX7 withdraws. Seeing it sitting there so lonley in the driveway is killing me. I also can't make any f/s threads because there is something wrong with this sites server. So it sits there so helpless.

Anyway I'm still selling parts of the car, if anyone is interested. Also I'm conidering selling it as a whole, so any offers are welcome.

For the next meet, I would like to invite our group to be my guest at the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes game on Saturday, June 11th at 7:30 PM. I provide tickets for up to 30 people.

There is a nice picnic area adjacent to the parking lot there. We can have a picnic before hand and then go in and enjoy the game. I am not sure if there are Bar-B-Q's there or not. I have spoken to Chris Bitters who is the VP of the Quakes, and if we want to do this, he will arrang to rope off (reserve) the parking spaces adjacent to this nice grassy area with the picnic tables.

For anyone who has not been to a Quakes game, the stadium is really first rate, and they do all they can to make it a good time for the spectators. I have full season tickets, and have stopped going to the Angels in Anaheim or the Dodgers games, since this is just as much fun, is local, and you get better seats!


Anyway - if you want to do this, please let me know, and let me know how many tickets you will need. I can accommodate about 30 (maybe even 40) people.

ok everyone..... this is our next meet..... there is all the info up there....most everyone is going to meet at pirate city tattoo around 3:30-4:00 pm.... and caravan to rancho (kindof a little freeway run)......this is something a little different, but it keeps things interesting...... and its free!! so who can complain....... and i know baseball is boring, but i think having everyone there will make it a great time!! please let me know asap so i can give riccio the final head count....... she needs to know how many tickets are needed, and how many car spaces to save..... so let me know so i can let her know

I know that we are a little uncordanated this time. (comes witht he teritory of changing thinkgs up) but to the best of my knowlage there will be no run before the meet. but this does not mean that we cant do a run, that just means that as of right now there isnt one set up.

how about this.....

I will be at Pirate City Tattoo Parking lot like normal but this time at 1:00p.m. instead of 9:00a.m. who ever wants to go on a run with me is more then welcome to show up. after the run we will caravan over to the stadium. just make sure you show up right around 1:00 as we wont be hanging out much untill we get to the stadium.

If you do not wish to go on the run then just make sure you are at the quakes stadium at 5:00p.m.

if any ones needs to get a hold of me, my number is on that paper, or PM me and ill give it to you.

Hmm Maybe I will go and that run my car will finaly break and I would have finally know what was wrong, I am sure I can at least do that I don't know about the base ball game though
