OFFICIAL Good places to eat in SoCal Thread
Todai and fricken Kabuki should just BURN! Lousy nasty Sushi prepared by Koreans faking the funk! I've never known other Asians who pretend to be something they ARE NOT!! Xcept fricken KOREANS! [/rant/stereotype]
I hate those two places with a passion. And the Todai in Santa Anita Mall yanked my CC # for a $300 trip to movie theaters and $200 at CPK, good thing my CC company knows I don't EVER visit Burbank... FRAUD!
on another note: Newport Seafood is the BOMB DIGGITY!
Just go in, and order the House Special Lobster and some white rice. You can thank me later!! You can order other junk to go with it, but to me.. they're just fillers, all I need is the lobster.
They just moved to a new location just east of that current location on Las Tunas, they took over the old Marie Calendars. Decor is much nicer than the old place, but who really cares when the food is good!!

The food came like right away, and the S-8 Sate-dinner is totally worth it, it actually comes with 8 sticks of meat, here in LA, you only get 6 of them for like the same price, and its a appetizer, Freaken worth it.
My girl, ordered chicken pan-seew, it is so good, and we had Fried Spring rolls, those were not to good, and of course, Thai :Ice tea.
Loved it so much, I left a good tip ( take into consideration, I am pretty cheap, as you can tell when I do my lowball offers =-p)
Hey guys, please more more suggestions.
Bring this thread alive! =-p

Beach Burgers in HB is good
There is a really good Ham and Cheese donut shop in Newport beach i sometimes go to. Forgot name. I have to show people where it is, as it's in a home somewhere.
I am always down to eat in OC.

Sushi buffet is just wrong. Sushi/Sashimi is something to be prepared in small amounts by the RIGHT people and enjoyed with high quality.
I went to Todai a while back (did not know a damn thing about food 2-3 years ago), and i thought it was ok. I ate real sushi, and there went that.

Pepe's on rosemead blvd going north past las tunas to the left.
They have chili cheese fries with meat and onions and cheese and some gravy for like 4 bucks. Order the large cause the small is small.
You can order something else, but I always get their chili cheese fries when I go there.

el pollo inka... and greedfield...
haven't been there for a while.
greenfield's more of a gluttonous place to eat.
just keep the green side up and you'll have endless meat forever.
