Yes lets do this!!! I am down to go anywhere so long as it is on a Sunday. Yeah Tri-Valley area does suck for cops but I don't care, my car is legit... sorta.

I think a good middle grounds would be best because we got people coming from the city and people coming from Sacramento. Soooo how 'bout Mexico?

actually if everyone is mature about it, cops in the dublin pleasanton area are actually pretty cool when it comes to car stuff.
theres a ton of meets in that area. its a good place.

we should all meet in blackhawk, and go to the automotive museum.
they would be ok with us holding a meet in a nearby section of their parking lot.

i havent driven my RX7 in 2 years! and its been a while since i checked in on this site.

i would really be motivated to get my car back on the road to attend this event
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE KEEP ME UPDATED!

if you dont see me posting back here after a date/place is set SOMEONE EMAIL ME!
i dont want to forget this.

Would you guys be down to go to a museum? The BBQ is a sure thing cause everyone likes food. I think the Dublin to Castro Valley area isn't too bad a middle ground for most peeps but like I said I'll have to scope out the places first lol. I'll keep everyone posted.

There's a classic car museum in Blackhawk, which is about a 15min drive from Stone Ridge mall.

http://www.blackhawkmuseum.org/

The thing with Lake Chabot is the parking lot (they also have a small entrance fee BTW), should be fine and able to park together if you guys get there before noonish, it gets a little busy on the weekends with families, especially when the weather is nice.

Another FYI, EuroSunday is an event that takes place in Danville (~10min from Dublin) on selected Sundays of the year. It's by invitation only (registration is free) and for those who aren't familiar with it, cars (mostly high end exotics) from all over the bay area gather here for a meet n chat session.

Check it out:

It's a nice little meet but the only cars they would take would be the older clean Rx-2 and Rx-3's and clean FD's. FB's and FC's most likely wouldn't be invited unless they are tastefully modded and clean.

Sorry guy's but it's gotten to be mostly for the stuck up rich people who like to think they know what theyre talking about when they show off their car

My dad know's the guy who run's it as do I, we actually used to go to them when he first started it up a while back with our '84 Countach 5000S.

It used to be open to all until little ricers started showing up and trying to act all cool with their mad tyte crap. So now it's by invitation only by him through the website if I remember correctly, you have to sign up and get his approval to go.

....

Anyways, i'd be up for something that's not too far away from the Sacramento area but would probably still try to make it even if it's a 3 hour drive there

That is if you guy's will accept me with my '73 S30 Z...

So what exactly are you guys trying to do? Are you guys trying to have a meet/bbq or some kind of cruise? or both?
But dam, why cant we do it on treasure island anymore? I would be so down for that!!
But yeah, whatever you guys decide is fine by me. I will come.

This meet is going to be a BBQ. I don't plan on organizing anything else beforehand mainly because a lot of people are recovering from sevenstock financially or just don't have money. If it turns out that people are down to do something the day of I'll probably have something planned out but not official. BTW guys just installed some fogs on my s4 =P a little off topic but damn does it looks sweet.

Also apex, bring your car man, this is a rotary meet and your still a rotard to me =P

Elk Grove Park is always nice, huge w/plenty of parking. Anything further than that and I won't be taking the PP RX-2 as it probably gets 10MPG on a good day, heh.

Well, it's still a little ways from getting any bodywork done to it but I don't think it looks half bad....
It is a 1st gen Z eventhough the front bumper throws it off to those who know what one should look like,
the previous owner put a 280z front bumper on the car and removed the lower turn signals as the 280Z didn't have the
turn signals down low. So I had to put in some temporary LED turn signals in the grill until
I can get my hands on the correct style one.

Can't decide on what color to paint it though....Silver, Sublime Green, Graphite/Gunmetal type color ?
It will have fender flares like the car you posted has though, theyre the ZG style rivet fenders.

Right now im more focused on getting the small block built and in the car before doing anything else as the current engine is really tired.

I agree, but I think the only people who would be safe from being ticketed would be you and myself as we are pre 1976 cars....

Last I heard someone had a get together there and Elk Grove PD pulled them all over as soon as they left the park and wrote tickets...I believe it was an Apex Network meet or something like that.
