Norcal Rotary Meet! Oct 2009!

So now that most of you guys have recovered from the SevenStock frenzy I've decided to throw this up. Its time to revive/start a true Norcal Rotary Meet. The plan as of right now is to have a meet one month, take a month off and then do a cruise. I'm looking for a place that most people can get to and not have to drive a long distance, though I'd be willing to take a hit mileage wise for that to work. Throw up some interests guys and lets get this going. I'll be scoping any places that you guy suggest but for this first meet I'd like to have a BBQ.

So post up guys, the SoCal guys have such badass meets and I'm pretty damn sure we can do the same!

^ That's right in my hood right there..... Just an FYI there are a ton of police out here, as well as in Pleasanton...

Edit: Every Saturday morning there is a gathering of exotic cars (just like Santana Row) here in Dublin at the IMax theatre /Hacienda center. Whoever started it is trying to keep it going, I haven't been there myself but it might be worth checking out.

2 nice parks in the Tri-Valley area:

1. Lake Del Valle in Livermore: http://www.ebparks.org/parks/del_valle

2. Lake Chabot in Castro Valley: http://www.ebparks.org/parks/lake_chabot

I'll keep that in mind. While I don't believe we'd be doing anything stupid may want to just avoid the police presence lol.

I'll give those a look as well. One of those might actually be the best choice.

One of those parks would be great since you mentioned a BBQ.

Lake Del Valle is a bit tricky to get into, there are way too many places where you can end up, but Lake Chabot has only one main entrance, you park and walk to your spots.

Both locations have paddle boat/canoe/kayak rentals in case some of you decide to get romantic with each other.

You guys could plan on a meeting spot at Stone Ridge mall (about 15min drive away to Lake Chabot) and all trek over there together.

I really like that idea actually. Going to see if I can borrow a car or something so I can check the place out and I'll get some solid dates and times for you guys!

I completely understand with the requesting time off as I have to as well, so don't worry =P. Think I'll head out and check out one of the spots next week if I have enough spare cash for the gas.
