Here's the official thread for Rotary Fest for 2008.

The location: Roberts Lake, Rohnert Park CA.
The date: Saturday July 26th

Start time 12n. (although Icemark and I will be there probably around 10:00/10:30). Time rally event 1pm to 2pm, Vines to Bodega Sunset Cruise probably around 4pm.

Location/ Directions:

From 101 Southbound

Keep RIGHT onto Ramp towards Wilfred Ave / Golf Course Dr
Turn RIGHT (North) onto Redwood Dr
Turn RIGHT (East) onto Commerce Blvd
Turn LEFT (East) onto Golf Course Dr
Turn Left onto Roberts Lake Road
Arrive Roberts Lake Rd, Rohnert Park, CA 94928


From 101 North Bound

Take the Golf Course Dr Exit, Turn Left at the exit light, Turn Right at Golf Course Dr, Turn Left at Roberts Lake Road.

The Park is walking distance From Mary's Pizza and next to Latitudes Bar and Grill.

Parking along the lake, or in the Park N Ride area.

The list of times of the events will be posted up soon, as this year Nader and I are working with the City of RP to have a timed event, as well as the Vines to Bay Sunset cruise.

There will also be a limited number of Rotary Fest Shirts available.

Also posted on the RX-8 club boards, so tell all your friends that own rotaries or are rotary engine enthusiasts.

How far from LA?

 

I think Icemark and I have made it back from 7stock in a little under 7 hrs.

We're about 40 minutes north of San Francisco. I may possibly be able to put a couple people up for a night...but highly doubtful...

There's also a doubletree hotel right across the street from the spot.

and just a heads up for all attendees, with nader and mark working so hard on getting city approval, it may be a good idea to keep the throttle foot in check once you get into town since chp station is a mile or so away from the lake.

Time? Rough Estimate?

 

mid day... I guess you could arrive as early as 10:00- 11:00, (when we will be setting up some of the stuff) but no events starting until mid-afternoon.

 

Berry and I are going to do our best to make it out for this. I'll be sure to post on the official attendee list once we know for sure.

Mark/Nader, let me know if you guys are taking up a donation to help cover the expenses or anything and I'll get some cash you way. Also, I want a couple of the Rotary Fest III shirts please!! I'll call you guys soon.
