Norcal Rebuilder
you guys have good reccomendations for a rebuilder up in th norcal area? closer to sacramento, the better..... i started blowing smoke yesterday morning, an di mean bad.. i am weighing doing it myself or getting a motor done with a waranty.... if you have any companies with websites.. even better.. please help if you can

smokes until warmed up. like abad oil seal...... and its a non turbo..... want a t2 but money was short at the time.... but its been running fine till sunday morning....... oh an d how stiff are the clutches on the 2nd gen.. i remember my 1st gen, and i drive a corolla as a daily driver... seems way too soft , considering the clutch has about 10 miles on it if that

I'm not sure how the stock 2nd gen clutch feels... I know the later 1st gen clutches went to a soft feel, so the 2nd might be the same. :-/ You can always go with an aftermarket clutch with a stiffer pressure plate...

well the clutch just feel s waaaaay too soft i think i may have abad slave as well.... but anywya i PMed KARACK and i am awaiting his response, oh where the heck is pleasonton

P.S. my clutch, slave and master are all new and feel a bit on the soft side as well, but if you have a lot of miles on the clutch and the motor is out you might as well change it to

cool_as_crap needs a rebuild bAD!!!! but hes in so. cal, so hes going to mazdatrix. but he does hear good things about karack, very good advice about everything....ever.......

see, i thought about the free play, i am by no means a novice with cars, just new to the innards of a rotary, i was manily doing pre 80'2 datun,toyota.. and pre 66 VW..... the free play is fine.. and bleeding helped little if not at all.....i will figure it out eventually just wasnt sure how soft it should be...... feels softer than my 2002 corolla..... seems odd ofr a car this old ( 87)
