Wrong, you don't get a tax credit. You get a check for $8000. Not 8000 to deduct, you straight up get the money!

I don't have a good job, I just use credit cards from left and right to do my modding.

Bad Bee! Credit cards are the devil! So are loans, except ones used to by a house. Better make sure it's a FIXED INTEREST RATE too!

You'll regret that in a few years.

Currently, making so-so pay, under $15/hr above $13/hr, working full time, I figure new part every one to two months, nothing a little patience can't solve haha

but first! solve the boost issue, then preventive maint and with some reliability mods

what you are saying and a tax credit are one in the same . deductions and credits are different.

deductions take off a specific amount of money of which you are taxed at, lowering your "taxable income"

credits are just what they sound like, after filing your taxes the government sends you the amount for your credit, so in the end if you owe the govt. $500 and have a $8000 credit you'll get a check for $7500

haha I figured you were. You should never use a credit card to mod your car. That's losing money in two ways. You're paying interest and the part you bought isn't adding as much value to your car as you paid for it.
