The website is Nissan based...but my friends are trying to put together the meet...not a Nissan meet (i've got a Nissan but it's a major pos) but just a car meet in general. I don't see how it lacks Rx7 things? It's a friendly BBQ for anyone into cars. I'm taking my 7. Sure there will be mainly 240sx there but w/e
Hmm, tempting since it's very close but what to bring, what to bring.. maybe the new beast once I fix the throttle cable. Think there will be many 510's there? I may know some of those guys actually 'cause there used to be 510 meets in front of the place I used to work years ago, and I would always barge into their meets with my RX-2, heh.

Hey there, rx7club! This is Sean aka WagDatto.
I'm the host for this meet, and figured I'd bump this thread. This is an open call for all makes to come out and meet up. The reason I don't spam all the forums is because I'm a Datsun/Nissan guy. I'm not a member here, and had to do the general "jump through hoops" to even post on this thread.
That being said, I hope some of you guys can make it! It will be at Tetotom Park in Antelope, just past Greenback/Elkhorn and 80. It will be at this park because there's a lot of room and a kickass picnic area, NOT BECAUSE OF COPS.

which means everybody should try to stay on their best behavior. I'll be taking names and plate #'s of anybody who disobeys and turns things stupid. I won't hesitate to call the police on my own event if things get out of hand.
I'm hoping that since this meet is in the middle of the day, and it's in a better environment than the Sac State meet, people will be better behaved. If all goes well, there will be more meets/cruises/BBQ's set up by us in the near future. I'm down to organize something like this every few weeks.
If you're driving a friend, you're responsible for them. If they're acting a fool, expect to not be invited back yourself.
I just wanted this to be clear because the worst thing that could happen would be to see a kid get hurt (related to me, a friend or an innocent bystander).

I'm not trying to sound strict to act cool or put people off from coming out, because it will be a lot of fun. I'm being strict because I WANT it to be fun! The Sac State meet (if anybody was there) got busted by cops because people felt that drifting through a parking structure... on campus... at 11pm was a good idea when there is a library next to it. People aren't smart, so I'm trying to make it clear that this behavior won't be tolerated.
Hope to see you guys out there! We need more charcoal and ice, by the way!!

EDIT: For those asking, there will be me in my 1972 Datsun 510 Wagon, my friend Chris in his orange 510 2-door, and my buddy Kelly in his black, 510 4-door. Might be a few Datsun Z's there, and maybe some more old-schoolers besides just the 240sx's.
