Sweet, now that I have a car, I can make it out to the meets again! No more, "well, the supercharger melted" or any crap like that. Unless, of course, the car is being tuned...

Thanks for the nice comments SmogSux. That's my DD/track car that I am trying to get fast enough to catch BMW M3's on trackdays with.

It was just a thought, I don't really want a new roomate . I think only the fronts are Brembo rotors. I will probably only get slotted rotors next time. They have been used for two trackdays and seem to do well. I will be installing 4 pots on the front and new pads before my next trackday. The following link is whare I got them.

i really need to find the right sized shop, it is getting kind of rediculous... but then again the price most shops want for rent is kind of rediculous too($1500-2000/mo).

don't worry about the crazy lady, the one in the shop will be out in a day or 2, i think she was just being **** because of the gold fc i have yet to finish because of the rebuild.

i think i'll take a pic of her next time she comes by, she looked super crack-a-licious that day... she needs to lay off the smack!

My car runs...runs like **** that is as expected of an untuned car. I test drove it and put $40 ******* dollars in it...goddamn gas is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ I only put 13 gallons in too...lol the 7 hours of ben playing with my car running in the garage musta sucked up fuel. I don't think my car would make it to 4k ben...at 3k it started making rapid mini backfires lol... and Rich why you going to get only slotted next time? Any problem with drilled? If slotted seems better I'm getting powerslot rotors..I found 4 for 360 shipped and its not ebay crap

oh and it took my 30 mins or so to find the stupid ******* radiator bleed bolt thing. i really need to clean that shop

edit: omg....100 per pair?! why the hell are they so cheap? I dunno if they really are brembo now All the sites I usually check are 100ish per rotor if they are powerslot slotted or brembo blanks..

Did you try ordering one on there? They're $100 just for the pair of blanks and then $65-85 more to get the slotting/drilled. Still damn cheap though...

From what I read theres alot of argument that (on cars- bikes are different) drilled doesn't do much except weaken the rotor. Slotted gives you all the heat venting or w/e it is you need w/o nearly as much risk of the rotor cracking like it might w/ drilled. But then again no brake rotor is gonna crack, drilled or not, except under seriously extreme conditions, which may or may not include excessive track day use. Thats basically a summary of some thread I read somewhere (might well have been on here actually I forget)...

Oh yeah and about the gas- HA HA! My gas is still at least 20 cents cheaper

From what I understand drilled does two things, 1 carries some of the brake residual dust and 2 carries away some heat. I have Cross drilled rotors and they seem to work very well.

Yeah I should have mentioned the thread was like a hundred plus posts at least and there were arguments back and forth- that was just a summary of some of the more educated posts. I wasn't trying to bash on crossed drilled at all and actually now that I think about it there were about as many people saying the cross drilled cracking stories were all myths and that they were superior to slotted. Just one of those issues where theres enough evidence on either side that its pretty much up to you which side you believe.
