I put my car on the smog machine today and was pleasantly surprised, the readings were about 15% of max so i had our smog tech run the test and it passed easily.
a new exhaust system and brand new high flow cat can do wonders for emissions.

I hope so!Which there was. The family had to took my father and eat out...
a tune up and a new good quality cat is really essential to getting good readings.
my car prior to putting the cat on made me dizzy standing at the rear of it, now it ran 24HC at idle....night and day difference.
thanks for loaning me the cat Nick, ill get it back to you this weekend.

it's probably from the turbo since it isn't spinning the seals might be beginning to leak some.
when do you want to try and come by to swap out the turbo? the car will need to cool down so it will take a few hours to do everything.

Well I made it to the CMI import drag race today. Apparently the tickets are $15 on the weekend and $6 on Weds. The crazy part is I didn't have the money and left to hit the ATM. So, on the way to get $$, I came across a car wreck (Hwy 16) involving at least one car that just left the Sac Raceway parking lot as I pulled in. The lady got hit twice by SUVs. I can now attest to the crash worthyness of Toyota Camrys. No serious injuries but I jumped out and started directing traffic and helping out on the scene for about one hour.
The races where cool.. only one RX-7 (2gen NA) but didn't see it race. Maybe it was eliminated earlier in the morn. The highlights were watching the number one qualifiers for Quick 8 and Outlaw. These two Honda's where making 10 and 11 sec passes. I believe they were all motor. Nasty.
Things got lame when I witnessed a Echo and Civic battle it out on 16-17 sec passes. Evo doing 14.45?? Must be the driver. The quicker Scoobies did 13 sec passes. Honda Ridgeline WTF??
I musta been one the oldest guys out there in the stands..lol. Anyway.. all in all it was fun. Now only if I can get my gf to run her V6 Accord...hehe.
