Miatas first race witht he new ECU!

That new rev limiter is like sex to me. I couldnt get enough of it.

Thank you sooooo much scotty for everything you did. I hope you enjoyed the miata. I think we need to get you in the car one more time though so you can realy enjoy it in full force.

Video of mine and Keiths run are on my you tube page.

^^^^ That was one of the most fun courses I have been on in a long time. Got to see the little one out there.... Hopefully as he gets older he will stop looking like his dad.

And you sooooo could have kicked my *** again. The up-side is you didn't have to work in the brutal neverending last work group. A few people were skeletonized out there chasing noob cones.

In run group 4 there was a car (BMW I think) that just about mowed a course worker down that was standing int he feild.

Johnson, I cant wait either. it was nice having al you guys there. its fun, but always more fun when you have friends there.

Jason, nothing to miss (race wise). the next race is early may. this weekend is the meet (the other thread)

if anyone is board check out the video I uploaded comparing the rev limiters. It doesnt mean much, I just like the way the new one sounds and wanted to compare it. although even the stock one didnt sound bad.

Not the same system, but we put an Mega Squirt PNP in Philips ITA/CSP Miata and it made a significant difference - about 9hp and 7 tq, and it really helped flatten the tq curve. You can read all about in the May SportsCar.

btw if you want to get 110% out of your ECU visit Church Automotive testing, mad skills.

Yeah I actually meant to post that on the Rancho Cucamonga Meet's thread. Oops! I've still got class on Sunday mornings from 8-12:15, and I won't be done with that until late June. So expect me at every event (possibly even in El Toro) come July.

And after months of prodding I did one Xrun in KJs RX-8, to show him his car is OK, with him as a passenger I ran a 68.6.

Was a perfect RX-8 course, I spent most of the back half at 8500+, the beep got annoying after a while.

ha ha ha... nice.
was he happy you showed him his car was "just fine"?

I know for me, its nice to know the car is not to blame, its just a matter of how much I suck. very cool (for him) that you were able to go even faster in his car then you did in your own car. obviously you could have went just as fastr in your own car had you had another lap, but it does go to show "look, I went faster in your car then I did mine..... so shut up".

I was actually a tenth slower in his car, but none the less I am sure it was disappointing. I know when I was getting started and the local hot shoe owned me I my vette that I had no other place to lay blame.

The good thing was he immediately went out and dropped a bunch of time on his xruns.
