Yeah watching the video I realized that the left hander was taken to wide.
I
continuously broke too late going into the 180. bad RX-8 habits are hard to break. One of these days I will figure it out.

I dont think it does. It's just a really stiff ride. this layout seemed to have put us on the worse parts of the track. sometimes its much smoother then others.
we run super stiff springs and shocks... and fornt sway.

wow... super smooth!
You took that left hander (the one you said I took too wide) way faster then I did. you went in super hot and held it. awesome.

I see you downshifter in the turn around. I thought about it, but I remembered the Isley "STOP SHIFTING SO MUCH CASEY" saying..... no really, I knew it was a slow turn, but It didnt seem like a down shift turn this time.

I noticed with the miata I shift from 2nd to 3rd often, but rarely between 1st and 2nd like I did in the 8. I think its because the 8 pulled so much more MPH out of first then the miata does???

anyways, nice video. thanks for posting it!

... seriously.... Johnson is the only one that has purchaced his full SCCA membership?

stop paying the $15 fee on site and get your full membership. it will save you money in the end. (assuming you plan on doing this more then 5 races this year)

read the first post in this thread for instructions.

Yeah, I paid 15 for a year for mine, so you <24 guys are really gonna get a deal! Pre-register online for $15 each race, and you're good to go! Practice days will also be cheaper I think.

What's ironic is that I purchased my membership, and then my car catches a cold. Atleast I have my health!

Should be back sometime next month, or whenever it's done breaking in!

I get a $5 discount for everyone that uses me as a referal. (I didnt know this before).

Good seeing everyone yesterday. El Toro Kicks ****! I think I can honestly say that I have zero problems with the cars balance at this point. Thanks for the tire help Rob and Will, made a huge difference. Now it looks like I really need to just keep working on my driving skills. Good thing no one is going to buy my car. I don't think I'm even going to bump my threads.

my times.... yeah.... they dont count.

first run was a DNF. I got lost. just simply could not remember the course.
second lap was not much better, still could not remember the course.
third lap was MUCh better, I remembered the course, but then had fuel problems.

ran a 87.xxx but that really does not mean a thing.

Keith ran a 83.xxx

This was more like what I expected.

Your a machine Jason. 82.693 in a stock classed RX-8.... crazyness!

I added a gallon and a half of fuel to the car before the race. I figured that would be MORE then enough. car went 6 laps fine, and on hte 7th lap had problems. what do you think that course was? 1.25 miles?
this would mean I got worse then 6 miles a gallon... i dont expect 30 MPG, but damn under 6??? Jason, does that makes sense?

Keith said when he went to Willow with Denward in the RX-8 they got 6 MPG.
