yeah it's the pilot bearing. I got a hold of brian and he's getting me all the parts, and a guy named robert is going to throw em on.

I wanted to do, since I don't really have a way to get the car down there, but they say I need a lift.

Either way, I'll b there in two weeks.

If you're replacing the pilot bearing, use the correct tool. It'll be a PITA otherwise!

Alright, Me,Eric and Leon can all attest to this....

Last Wednesday, when the 3 of us were waiting for the rest of you yoohus, Some dude in a Pontiac sedan comes in out of nowhere, parks his car next to us and randomly asks us if we knew of any "Domestic clubs" locally, When we were unable to help him, The dude just gets back into his car and speeds off into the parking lot and all the way down Beach blvd all frustrated and ****...I can tell that if the dude had the chance to trade his car for an old ***,FWD Honda, he'd probably do it just so he can have an "Import"...But yeah, apparently, he's never heard of searching for local car clubs on google?...What an ***!

LSD-RYU hey bro, just so you know, you dont need a lift to get the job done. i dont think i met you so dont think this is an attack/offense or anything just giving my opinion, if you have any wrenching skills and an extra pair of hands, you can drop the tranny under the car thats sitting on four jackstands. i've done it myself, and put the tranny back in myself before so yahz, iono who told you that you need a lift but.... you dont hope this will help you out bro!

Buy those 6 ton large jack stands from Harbor Freight. They'll get your car high enough for easy working underneath.

^amen to that, i took out my automatic tranny that way to replace seals, man was it a pain, it's twice as heavy as a manual, I'm looking forward to a manual
my car is too low to even use a jack right now
I'm probably going to take off my diffuser until my car is ready for paint
I hate driving all nervous and stiff on the freeway, never know when a bump will take it out

Well, it was a weird turn of events. I got a message from someone on the forums. Turned out he was the PO of my car way back in the day. He did the swap and such. Then parted out the engine. That's when Brian (japan2la) got a hold of it. They ended up talking about me, and Brian called to tell me he got a hold of him.

Anyways, long story short. Brian said he had all the parts, and the guy who helped him put the car together can get it everything on in a couple hours this saturday. I'm gonna throw on a new centerforce clutch, and 12lb flywheel while I'm at it.

I wanted to do it myself, but I can't beat that deal. I just have to figure out how to get it down there... any of you with a truck and trailor that wants to drag my *** to long beach, I'll pay gas money and lunch!

If you have AAA they could tow it for you. If you have the premier membership they'll tow it up to 200 mi once or twice a year for free. It's a good thing to have if you've got a rotary.

Yeah I got it, but I've already used it like a million times lol. Once when I ran out of gas in the N/A, another when my rear end went, twice when I locked my keys in my car, then this one where I got towed home 88 miles.

I think they're gonna charge me like 60 bucks this time. I'll call and ask...
