Go to lucky7, they will take care of you They have connections with local tuners. Located off the 605 N.
And as for meets. There's a meet every other friday at the L&L Hawaiian BBQ spot, there's a thread for it. Also there's this rotary meet at the san gabriel super store? I haven't been there before.
And a date to keep in mind is October 29th. It's a massive gathering of rotaries known as sevenstock held this year at the Pomona Fair Grounds.

With due respect to my friends at Lucky 7, geographically speaking, you'd be best served to go to Mazdatrix for the things you just can't or don't want to do yourself since they're in Signal Hill. Essentially your own back yard. Not cheap, but not expensive either considering you get what you pay for. And any parts you'll need will be immediately available for obvious reasons. And, gas at $4 per gallon, money staying in your pocket on the back and forth travels.
Tuning, a drive down the 405, off on Harbor. North just before Warner on the west (left) side. There you'll find Nelson at RRR. One of the best tuners you'll find around.
