need help in fremont / east bay , california

Hi I posted a thread on the 2nd gen forums but basically my car won't start and I'm still new to the rx7 and automotive stuff in general and if someone lives in or around Fremont, CA and could come by to take a look at my car that would be very awesome. Its an FC 1987 GXL manual.

Now it clicks when I try to turn it over.

if it just clicks, check your battery and the starter, i don't know a whole lot about second gens, but if you are desparate, let me know and i'll see if i could roll over there...

Yeah I checked the battery and alt with a multi-meter yesterday and it read 12.5v off and 13.5 v with the car idling so I think they are ok.

Yeah that'd be awesome, maybe tomorrow if you aren't too busy?

sounds like the starter solenoid is in order but the motor is burnt, see if you can pick up a starter.
BTW is the click coming from under the hood, or the ignition switch.. where from?
