NASA National Championships

After a few months of Motor drama. May car is on the transporter heading for the NASA Nationals Championships in Ohio.

The car is not really where I want it, In that I had spent most my time swapping motors instead of doing suspension and brakes. But I'm going to deal with what I have and drive the hell out of it.

I have a two year plan to win the Nationals. So if I win this year, I would be delighted. But I'm mostly going to have fun, Drive Mid-Ohio (something I've always wanted to do) and place on the podium. A win would be a major bonus. I’ll bring back and down load videos and if anyone wants to watch live.

Doesn't look last years Champion or runner up are going to be there.
I'm going to do my best for a podium finish.

Thanks I'll need it. Weather is a little wacky. Now looks like there will be Thunder storms on Thursday and showers on Saturday (my class does not run on Saturday thank god). So look like I'll be applying the rain X tomorrow.

Here's a quick few laps of thursdays Qalifying race. I got a good start. Nobody seemed to want to get going. So I jumped from 8th to 2nd. Didn't hold on to it very long. Then had a moment, brain fart, spun. The starter wire fell off and could not restart.

I've been having tuneing troubles. A missfire and learning a new track. But everything is sorted out now. Car runs very good. Got the lines down. have a good run on Friday before the rain. So I do have a slite chance to get to the front
I'll be starting 7th or 8th on Sundays race.

Just a FYI for those who wonder about Race Plugs in a rotary. THEY DO WORK. I've been having a Intermitent miss under high load. Changed all kinds of stuff. Coils, plug and wires. Nothig would help. At one point even thought it was the fuel reg. Put the race plugs in the leading only. BAM! cleaned up everything and seems to be pulling harder at the top.
I'm now sold on cost of them.

So Nationals in Mid-Ohio was a blast! I wish I had done a little better, but learned alot.
I started last. Made my way up to 5th. Then lap 4. Smacked the inside curbing. That pushed me out to the outside crubing. That pointed the car off in the grass that was sloped for draining and sent me for a ride through the beach.
I got it back to gether. But the handling was a little off. Turned out the left rear was losing air. I had to really work after that, to get the car turned into right handers.

Made made my way back the 5th. There were 3 guys in 3 diffrent types of cars fighting for 5th.

4 laps from the end I spun in Madness. I set out to catch the group. But ran out of time.

Here is the start.
