Awesome thx Ken. I already got a window and tinted too. All I need is that SFAC from Hozzman and to find a not-too-expensive AVCR. Otherwise, the car is running great and has a nice alarm now

dude, i was thinking the same thing. What if the thief is someone you know in the rx community? Wouldn't be unlikely, and now they know the details of what you're doing to ward off thieves (and can use the information to their advantage). My philosophy has always been, knowledge is power. Without that knowledge, they have no power. Nobody can steal/steal from a car if they don't know where it is right?

The less the enemy knows, the better. That's my $0.02.

it was most likely a random incident or someone in the remote area watching the car for awhile

It was definitely not a person(s) that know about cars... who steals a $500 boost controller and rips the harness out of it? LOL FAIL!!!!!!! same with the SAFC and even my stereo

John: great adventure last Friday huh? and to top it off, I got pulled over by CHP for "swerving"...LOL guess not having power steering really makes the car seem less stable on a messed up fwy. Anyway, he gave me **** for having a modified car and said I should make it look stock cause its SCREAMING "pull me over!!" HAHA. He let me off with a warning but since my car had gotten broken into, I had no paperwork then he asked me to call a friend to drive it and to follow me. Then when help shows up, same CHP popped another guy right where he got me WHILE I WAS STILL THERE!!! HAHAHA he was really cool

 

Friday was something else. Felt like I was in a fast and furious movie. Opening scene, huge gathering of hot cars (the '72 and '74 Skylines especially), guys lalking cars, girls standing there looking good. Sub plot character with arm candy under his arm. Then 8 cop cars swarm in, all the cars scatter.

Yup. All that was needed was releases for all of us to sign for the producer. Certainly not what I was expecting.

Where were you when you got pulled over? Good your cop was one of the few with perspective in life.

The CHP guy was young, maybe 30 ish. He told me to hide the SAFC under the seat and to cover my hood vents LOL. he was like " I can see right through your hood and all I see is illegal mods"... right.........

I guess he followed me from the 405 North to the 101. I remember seeing cop lights at some point then I forgot about it hahaha

 

Yeah, I'd say that was a good deal on the SAFC. LOL I'm sure there will be something I'll need one day that you can respond in kind perhaps. Just glad I was in a position to help you out. No charge either on the free tune.

As to the cop, dude you were amazingly lucky with that cop considering it seems the general sentiment with law enforcement lately has been cracking down harder. Ask any of our friends in San Diego. You should consider buying a lotto ticket or three.
