My Angeles Crest *PIX* 4/23/06 .. warning lots of pics
these are up in the 3rd gen section, but because we're in the west (so cal to be exact) decided to put it up in here and share with you fellas
yesterday my buddies decided to take our cars up for a quick little tour of angeles crest, just to have some fun... Got to the gas station, filled up, and off we go! Plenty of bugati's, elise's, murciellago's, gallardo's, but no ferrari's. Also, a TON OF S2k's! Anyway, we had our own little fun bag!
Here's some pics of us!
all of us before leaving....
and at our first stop, i decided to have a little fun and take pics of some interiors...
there goes the saab interior...
my rx-7 interior
Interior of the AE86

our first rest area
powered by red bull...
our second stop
another shot from our second stop
halftime shots of the runners in angeles crest
1986 Corolla GTS (Good ol' AE86, not the SR-5)
SAAB 92-X (WRX chassis)
2005 AUDI A4 3.0 Quattro
and of course, my FD
leaving...
then **** happened to the ae86....
On our way back down (after we spend 1.5 hours revvin' for fun...) the AE86 lost control and ran into the mountain.. luckily, the car wasn't damaged much if at all!
and at last... this is the result of the AE...
took them about 2.5 hours to get the tire changed out (at a shop on the bottom, since the AE was hard riding his fullsized spare...) but nevertheless, this was fun *** hell.... everyone should give it a go!

I was over there on Saturday. Rode Emily since Donna's not ready for any kind of hard driving. Looking at those pics makes me wanna get another Brenda. Great pics!

Nice pics, but why bother with all the shots of the hooptie? It's offensive to the eyes. And slow.
Seriously. AE86s are shitboxes.
The FD is very nice though. I wish I could justify the money for the '99 front bumper.

ae86's are awesome! They are so light and tossible, that in the corners, they are probably pretty close to the FD's... and the mountains are made for these!

maybe so, but I'd rather have a miata. The only reason people think that the corolla gt-s is so great is because of a cartoon. You guys understand that it's not real, right?
Anything you can do in the "Hachi", you can do better in a 1st gen miata.

like someone said above: for the ultimate in cheap performance, the miata wins
