Meet and Eat?
My friend that has a subie does somethisn called "flavors of socal" basically a bunch of guys/girls determine a restaurant, then have a little meet there and have some good food at the same time. Similiar to the L&L meet I guess but it would be a sitdown affair and a different place each time. I was thinking maybe a once a month type thing. What do you guys think?

once a month is good. It doesn't have to be a pricey place. We'll vote on places and see what other people are feeling like eating. it can be a sit down restaurant, take out, buffet, korean/japanese/mongolian bbq type place, we'll decide when the time comes.

yah a lot of forums do this...
maybe if we can find a fellow owner that owns a restaurant or somone that works at or knows a manager at a place. Those are the best. We can get some VIP parking and some disco on the food.
I used to go to one at Outback Steakhouse in Industry one of the forum members was BFFs with the managers so he would set up a lunch thing, block out a section of the parking lot and we would get a bunch of apps and stuff and those that wanted to eat a real meal could do so others that wanted to finger foods just hung out and ordered drinks etc.
Do we have any owners/operators or managers around here that have that pull? I would rather support a fellow forum member than going to a random place.
