Need help with the brake lights switch

So I'm swapping my AT with a MT and while working on switching my pedals I broke the little white plastic pin of the brake light switch. Mine has two connectors (first picture) but the pedals of the MT only has one (second picture). My question is: can I simply grab the switch from the MT and forget about the other plug? Thanks in advance

AT switch

MT switch
Edit: it's a 1988 gxl fyi

the GXL has that double switch for either Cruise Control and or the AAS system. the AAS for sure has a brake input, so it won't work with the single switch.

Would there be a way to fix the little pin? Like drilling a small hole in the plastic and sticking the rest of the pin?

or you could just buy a new switch? H003-66-490A is the part number, and Mazda has a bunch in LA
