Bern,

We usually get discounts for track events if we have a group of us sign up together. Usually about $25 off of the registration fee and/or free timing.

I'm in for Saturday.

If some nice exotics sign up for Sunday, I'm asking to switch days. It will be nice to see some Ferraris passing me up.

So far only 3 Ferrari's are signed up. Hopefully more of them sign up to convince me to do both days! I just checked the Ferrari Club of America's website and they mentioned having their own Ferrari run group if enough of them signed up. That will suck for us that want to drive with them at the same time

I backed out a while ago because I was going to start my "heart transplant" early. Well, had a change of heart and signed up I'm signed up /w blue group (intermediate point by @ designated spots). Look forward to seeing you guys there!! Don't forget your sunscreen, sunglasses, pop up tents, and stuff to tie them down, it's going to be windy and hot as hell! Maybe we can get a couple of us like we did last time at the Redline event to tie the tents up on the fence of the Eastern end of the pits/parking lot... just a thought, I thought it was a cool setup.

Mazfest FREE "Ride-Alongs"

For those of you who don't know --
Part of Mazfest is FREE "Ride-Alongs" in REAL race cars at FULL speed around the FULL track!!

Plans are to run most of the day in alternating Speed Ventures groups (meaning 1/2 of the time).

Lines and "Load-In" will be in the hot pits. There should be signs out to direct everyone on where to go. Helmets will be available, or you can bring your own.

Cars that look like they will be there so far:

Mazdatrix Supercharged Redline Time Attack RX8
Kyle Mohan/Mazdatrix Turbo FC Redline Time Attack
Mazdatrix NASA/SCCA '85 RX7
Ray Garbalosa with his beautiful '85 RX7
Mike McColligan with his U.S.Touring Car Championship RX8
Spec Miata from Rush Motorsports
One or two Miata's from International All Stars
BMI with their 4-Rotor Drift RX8 is doubtful, but they will try

If you every wanted to see and feel what it's like to go REAL FAST -- then plan on climbing in!!

This is a great idea!!! As vendors-suppliers to the rotary community, you can really drum up a lot of interest and make some serious PR impact by doing this!!! People, like me, see vids and pics of these guys who have a lot of driving experience and/or talent, hauling *** on the track with a prepped car, and always think... "man I wish I could at least be riding along... that must feel awesome.."

I wish this kind of thing was offered up years ago before I got involved in cars. A ride along can change the way you view the potential of a car... Very cool of you guys to offer this and I hope you continue to do so. That being said... I might have to bug one of you for a ride, you can teach me how to drive at the same time

Bump this is in two weeks from this Saturday on August 14th.

Everyone should also register for the car show; if your from stock to highly modified it doesn't matter. Registering for the car show means that you can park with everyone and even have the chance to win an award. Also, you will be paying $10 per person when you come into the track so you might as well register for this free car show, since you are paying to get in to this awesome event.

Got it... but this is already a discounted event (not much I know) for Mazda group, so you wanted a sub-group discount for more Mazdas... not helping the event out here!!

I really want to register for the autoX, but I'm used to 60-70" 3rd gear tracks for $30 in WA. I've been to Fontana and if it's in the parking lot in the infeild i'll be pissed. I can't possibly imagine there being enough room for a big fun $80 worth of autoX. Does anyone know specifics on where it'll be?
