Hey guys, this is a sidenote, but what were your (max) engine temps during the day? I was running about 11 psi boost on an FD engine, only got to run two sessions before I blew my one of my shocks, but had same result. After about three hard laps my oil temps would go way up. From 220 --> 260 F. Right away I backed off and it went back to 220 F until the next lap.... every other lap after that I had to take it easy on the straights. I'm running a single stock oil cooler with crappy ducting and bent fins (yes I should have fixed those but I had other issues getting my car ready for the track )... Anyway here are some of my "critical" temps:

Air (max 47 C, cooled down to 40 C on cooldown laps, stock air intake temp sensor, read from PFC commander, was pretty constant during the sessions)
Water (max 95 C, read from PFC commander; max 210 F, read from thermostat housing)
Oil (max 260 F for a few seconds, typically 220-240 F)... BTW temps taken from OIL PAN
AFR ~ 10.8-11
Boost ~10-11 psi (stock FD turbos)
Ambient air ~ 75F
Gas 91 octane

I didn't have a problem with the air and water temps, but the oil really bothered me... I'd be especially interested in hearing from the turbocharged/supercharged rotaries... and even the V8 types I know Juan is running a dual OC setup, not sure what Johnson's turbo FC had, the black FD with the CCWs I'm pretty sure had a really good setup, the red FD with all the tape... not sure what he had (his name was "Baldwin", not sure what his name is here on the boards). BTW I'm running pretty thick oil, 20W-50 NON-synthetic.

I have two stock oil coolers that are ducted and a "race" radiator from CSF (i believe) which is also ducted. I dont remember my water temps but I'd say they were around 220 with my oil being 220-230 F. I saw 240 F oil on one session but it quickly went down after I started short shifting for half a lap and never went up again during the day. My water temp sensor is reading from the throttle body line and my oil temp sensor is at the oil filter via a REspeed pedestal. I'm using castrol gtx 20-50 non-synthetic. You should definitely get a 2nd oil cooler. Im going to re-do my 2nd oil cooler so I'll be putting it up for sale if you're interested.

Not really applicable but my NA FC saw under 205 water temps, and 235-245 oil temps in the afternoon. Everything is stock with no addtional ducting. I run 20W50 Castrol GTX. I didn't like seeing the oil temps that high, but this was the first time they got over 235~240.

I need a new radiator cap, as I am getting some water spit out into the overflow tank while on track.

Try ducting and sealing everything first to maximize airflow through what you have. Dual OEM oil coolers or larger/better aftermarket ones are a good idea.

You rang?

Let's see... No radiator ducting/undertray I was seeing 220ish water temps with about 210 oil that day. That wasn't pushing it, though. Just toying around. That's with 1 FD oil cooler, factory ducting.

Pushing it, I probably stay around 230 water/220 oil with some ducting.

Most I've seen was about 240 water and 240/250ish oil, with NO oil cooler.

I run a Koyo FD radiator, mounted like stock. And stock FD fans. Oh, and I have AC, so the condensor is in front of rad (which I need to remount since it's crooked :P ).

I'm running the factory oil cooler, csf 2-row radiator, and stock intercooler.

Water = 212 for most of the day, got as high as 219 when I was hot-pitting to swap passengers.
Air = 40C about, got up to 75C when I was not moving

I don't have an Oil Temp gauge yet, but I'm guessing it was around 220-230 since the path to the cooler is unobstructed. This is probably why I haven't run an FMIC.

I'm also running Elf (Total) 10w-50 full synthetic, should hold up better at higher oil temps.

Fris (Lil Red - his name's getting passed around alot lately hahaha) is running an FD oil cooler along with the factory FC one.

That's my car, it's a custom splitter made from 1/4 ABS plastic. It's pretty durable and if you mess it up on track it is a lot cheaper than carbon fiber.
A friend of mine has a business where all he deals with is plastic.
